foreign we're welcoming in our guest now today we are joined by the director of the pro tour Jeff spring Jeff thank you so much for joining the show today thanks for having me Trevor good to be on I know you tried to connect before and happy to join you yeah absolutely um it's uh it's been a long time coming and certainly now is a great time more than ever so we're we're here in the wake of obviously some recent big changes in Pro Tour policy and that's one of the main things we're going to discuss today but before we hop into that you know I just want to ask you when you signed on as tour director and times were obviously a lot different then did you ever foresee that your biggest challenge would come not from growing the sport of disc golf and creating a sustainable tour but from becoming the spearhead of this battle for competitive fairness absolutely not you know I I think that this is a merging topic um that hadn't yet ramped up to a level of concern um at the place it's at now um so it's certainly become a challenge but you know I did know that you know if we're going to grow the sport into uh you know high level emerging Sport and our vision is to push to the top of the emerging sport pile and and you know kind of make waves and and you know basically the the big Sports even um because that's our belief that where disc golf can go um you know I knew that there were going to be a lot of unforeseen challenges um so you know I just look at you know the issues that we we deal with whether it's it's this one or or new ones that pop up you know pretty recurringly um as as part of the job part of what we um signed up for when we became you know kind of the disc golf pro tour team that's me and all of our staff which you know we've got a pretty big team now so yeah yeah certainly and it's certainly been a big battle to undertake so before any of these recent policy changes were made whether it be the first announcement or this most recent one obviously the Catalyst...
