Paul McBeth's Thoughts on Smaller Baskets

Paul McBeth shares his thoughts on making cutting harder in disc golf, specifically focusing on smaller baskets. He discusses the challenges of throwing a frisbee into a basket designed for golf and suggests that single-chain designs like the El Guapo or House Marksman are still too easy to make it in. McBeth agrees with the idea of making putting more difficult, but believes the biggest hurdle is the size of the baskets themselves, which were originally designed for golf. He proposes reducing the size of the basket to match its intended purpose for frisbees. The conversation touches on techniques like gimmicks and chain designs, referencing Mazzarella and DG Shift.

so we talked about making cutting harder we brought up the Mazzarella six in any type of gimmick like that I'm 100 percent of yellow baby baskets what about all of it baskets elevate best I'm okay with but what about smaller baskets tinier yeah like the El Guapo you have your house marksman I think DG a shift I think has a you gotta make cutting harder it's just the inner chains you gotta make putty harder well I mean I don't like the jist a chance okay nicely smaller basket I think it should be small I mean the basket was invented for frisbees not this yeah so it wasn't really yeah this be golf yeah so these baskets that we touch so hard because it is actually really hard to throw a frisbee and make it in there well they were single chains Bank changed up if you have one set of light chains on the outside the chain design changed but the shape did yeah so it's still the same size so our basket should be the size for this like that's what it should be I'm not saying let's make it smaller because I want it smaller it's like it was made for frisbee so where's our baskets that were made basketball players playing basket exactly agree that that would definitely be the easiest fix for like you know making it a bit more difficult I think where that could be an issue obviously like catching putts it's not really gonna be a big problem I mean spit out sarn't a huge issue I don't feel like but like you know the thing about the things that get on ESPN are like the aces and like the more exciting like you know Philo throwing like the albatross shot and those gonna be catching as often on a smaller battery well I don't think it'll be catching if you go with the single chains like the El Guapo or whatever that's not the answer yeah for a small basket you know that whatever the other one is it's a gateway bullseye that's not the answer that's not the answer for a smaller basket you need something that's smaller that catches just as good if not better than what we have now Gillette Ross says Idyllwild plus sand equals I quit hashtag planet a loan y'all could...
