Hunter thinks too many players try to tour | Grip Locked

Hunter shares his thoughts on why too many players feel pressured to tour professionally, citing that playing every major event and traveling extensively is not necessary for success in disc golf. He emphasizes that staying local and grinding out tournaments can be a viable way to make a living, referencing Chris Dickerson's successful career playing events within a specific radius of Tennessee, and Colin Carter's earnings from competing in North Carolina. Hunter also suggests that the biggest touring professionals should focus on maintaining their existing sponsorships rather than constantly seeking bonuses through tour payouts. By adopting a smarter approach to their careers, players can achieve financial stability without sacrificing their mental health or burning out on the road.

Hunter's candid take on disc golf tour qualification: Too many players aim high without realistic expectations.
