How Many of Us Will it Take to Beat a Disc Golf Tour Pro?

Joel Freeman, a prominent disc golf tour professional, faces a unique challenge in this entertaining match against the Foundation Nation. Instead of a standard four-ball scramble from the start, the competitors utilize a dynamic "fluid handicap" system that adjusts team size based on real-time performance. The format begins with a head-to-head matchup, where the number of strokes lost determines how many additional players are added to the amateur team for the next hole. Conversely, winning a hole reduces the team size, creating a constantly shifting competitive balance. The amateur squad consists of Trevor, Khan, Sai, and one other player, with Trevor starting as the initial contestant selected by the wheel. The video captures the intense pressure of attempting to outplay a seasoned pro, highlighting specific techniques like handling wind conditions and executing accurate drives. As the round progresses, the team dynamically scales up to a maximum of four players if they fall behind, ensuring the game remains engaging despite the skill gap. This innovative format serves as a fun experiment in disc golf strategy, offering viewers a look at both professional precision and the chaotic energy of a growing amateur team. Whether the Foundation Nation can keep pace with Freeman or if the handicap becomes a manageable advantage, the match promises a high-stakes battle on the course.

What is good, Foundation Nation? Today we're gonna see how many of us it takes to beat Joel Freeman. Let's do it. >> So, how this is going to work, >> we're starting with Joel playing. He's going to be playing singles. The wheel is going to decide which one of us plays him headtohead. And then every stroke we lose, we spin the wheel and add that many people to our team. So then if if we lose by two on this, it'd be triples versus Joel single. If we win the hole, it works the opposite way. So we go back down. So basically is a non-stop handicap for us >> to try to balance us to keep things competitive throughout the round. >> A fluid handicap. >> Yeah. Now the max we can get to the max we can get to is four of us. So we have Khan, Sai, me and Trev. Um that's the max we [laughter] can get. Let's see who who lucky contestant number one is. >> To get it to four >> to get you guys to the team of four. >> Probably going to happen. >> It looks like it's going to be me. >> Me starting Trevor just goes headtohead the whole video title. >> So it's not match play as in like first hole seven and a four >> straight up. >> You you get all your three teammates right away. It's not just one. Okay. Okay. Good luck, gentlemen. Best of luck to you, sir. >> Let's get it. >> That's pretty good. >> Oh, that's nice. >> Down a little. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Are you scared of the wind right now? >> I'm not scared of wind. I >> want to defeat you. >> Okay. Give me a skip. Give him a skip. >> Give him a skip. >> Oh, I think that we're >> I think we're staying on the bench, boys. I think we're staying on the bench. We'll >> stand off.
