welcome to the nick and matt show bringing the player interviews you want to hear and the hot topics you want to discuss streaming live on the foundation podcast youtube channel here's nick and matt let's talk about it you're coming off some great disc golf um a second place finish at texas state that's pretty awesome we'll let you touch on that but also you tied the hot round for the lone star um is it the lone star classic you tied the hot round with the current highest rated fpo player in the world uh what do you attribute your recent success to on the course parking stuff making all the putts i'm shooting 10 15 down on these wooded courses at the event in practice and then in tournaments i'm struggling to get to like a 9 30 round and i don't quite know at what point in your career those two things match up but i'm on year nine and i keep thinking at some point this uh incredible elite level golf is gonna show up during tournaments you know i'm gonna like all the putts are going to go in i'm going to hit all the lines all the long ones are going to be cached it hasn't happened yet so i thought i started taking notes in a personal notebook i looked at my udisk stats for the last several years and i realized it's around the green where i'm failing i'm losing um i'm a lot of times i'll be in circle two and i see my competitors go woods woods woods and then we end up with the same score and i could have just threw it at the base of the pole and got a par and maybe scored better than them but the problem is i'm so aggressive because in practice it's so easy everything goes in i make all the shots i don't need to throw eight shots to get a good one my first one is a good one because i see the line i hit it and it's just so simple so this year i've really changed my game plan i am not running things at 100 miles an hour anymore i'm laying up putts that i normally would never lay up which i hate it's so boring and i did not drive halfway across the country...
