Big Changes To The Pro Tour's Awards for 2022 | Grip Locked Clips
The Pro Tour has announced significant changes to their awards system for the 2022 season. The updated points structure includes increased rewards for top-performing players, with Silver Series events awarding 25% of Elite Series points. Major championships will now carry a higher value, earning 150% of the points needed to qualify for the first Pro Playoffs. The format for the playoffs has also been altered, with more players receiving automatic qualification and fewer spots determined by a play-in event. The changes aim to provide more opportunities for talented players who may not have qualified through standard point standings. This includes players from smaller series events or those who have shown promise in other competitions. As a result, the new system is designed to reward consistent performance across different events and divisions. The Pro Tour's updated awards system promises to create an even more competitive landscape for top disc golf players.
