Are Pro Player's Contracts Too High?
The contract prices of professional disc golfers have become a topic of debate in recent months. The video explores whether pro players' contracts are too high and what this trend might mean for the future of the sport. Innov-a is mentioned as a company that seems to be taking a different approach, possibly waiting for the "bubble" to burst before making a move. Disc golf's growing popularity on FPO and NPo stages is driving up player salaries, with top players like Ricky and Paul earning over $1 million annually. However, many believe that the money should be going towards purse prizes instead, creating an uneven playing field. The video touches on the parity of the sport and how it might lead to more opportunities for new players. With discussions about a "real disc golf salary" being around $150,000 per year, viewers will get insight into the current state of professional disc golf contracts and what it might mean for the future of the sport.

innova is doing the exact opposite which is either a genius level play because we actually we talked about it last week on the podcast how we were like really confused with innova but then yesterday in the office we kind of started talking mi hunter and brody were kind of talking about innova and thinking you know maybe they're actually on to something with this like maybe they're kind of like waiting out the storm in a sense like seeing the crazy inflation of these players and thinking you know maybe they think that the bubble's just gonna pop eventually and they're gonna be able to scoop in and maybe maybe the disc golf salary this is kind of something i was thinking about maybe the real disc golf salary for like top of the line should only be 150 000 a year maybe that is what it should be and maybe innova knows that and they're just waiting for the bubble to burst so that then they can start getting players at an actual at the real value i do think that for the good of the sport money should be going into purses a lot more than it is that's that's the weird thing that's the tough part yeah there's no money in purses um because that was another thing we mentioned yesterday was like what happens when most of the top players that are winning events are all multi-millionaires and they're collecting fifteen thousand dollar prizes for winning tournaments well what's confusing to me is like you have eventually there's gonna be more player because the parity and disc golf is getting bigger and bigger right on fpo and npo to where you have right now ricky and paul were they're both making a million dollars a year eagle might this year last year he beat them on a pretty regular basis when he was playing tournaments eagles should by the today's standards though you should be making half a million dollars we well but kind of suspect the reason he's not making crazy money well we don't know the money he's making yeah we but what i'm saying is like eagle will probably regularly beat them not probably he might he has a very solid chance of regularly beating paul and ricky or at least being competitive with them where they're all on the same...
