Join Hunter and Trevor on the Disc Golf Preview Show of Idlewild as they discuss the upcoming LWS tournament at this popular course presented by Dynamic Discs. This week's episode focuses on changes made to the layout, particularly hole 12, which has been shortened from a Par Four to a shorter version with a new Mando (MANDO) obstacle at the end. The duo shares their thoughts on how this change might impact gameplay and scoring, speculating that it could make upshots slightly easier but not necessarily alter the overall drive distance. With a focus on pace of play, Hunter and Trevor also touch on potential strategies for navigating this new hole. Tune in to hear their insights and analysis as they prepare for the LWS tournament at Idlewild.

foreign welcome into the disc golf preview show I'm your host Hunter joined today by Trevor as always we got the lws open at Idlewild this weekend I forgot the name of this one right I got the name of that one right um I think it's also presented by Dynamic Discs I might have missed part of it but and it doesn't matter um Idlewild though man it seems like this course is looking relatively the same as the previous year with one pretty big exception I don't think it's going to affect the end of the day scoring but it's definitely a change which is hole 12 they seem to have made it a shorter Par Four that's the one that's the forehand Down The Long Alleyway kicks out into the open field a little bit you're throwing kind of a backhand hides if you peer the drive into the green it was getting close to 13's T which is the y-hole so they brought the basket back and they added a Mando at the end Amando Wright at the end of the tunnel which from the caddy book looks like any of those shots that go deep that push too far straight which is very easy to do on that hole will now be punished by being moved to the Drop Zone with a stroke penalty um partially I think a pace of play thing which we actually talked about this some with Northwoods last week but parsia pays a play thing it's also funny it is also whole 12. yeah something about and also uh like probably just they didn't want players breaking the hole by pushing in there and maybe you can get like a sneaky putt if you go straight or something with a new PIN location I'm honestly wondering is uh because the hole isn't really Gonna Change much it's shorter but it won't change your drive it's just going to make the upshot a little bit shorter and easier um so the hole is really not going to change unless yeah I'm curious to see if they're using that mando you know you would you would think if it was just meant to like be a a difficult obstacle they would just use OB right there there's no reason other than that uh for the mandatory so I'm guessing there must be...
