When the World's Largest Rubber Duck Visited a Pro Disc Golf Tournament
Join us at a pro disc golf tournament where an unexpected visitor stole the show: the world's largest rubber duck. Traveling across the country to the Twin Cities, the duck was welcomed by the crew at the preserve and incorporated into the event. With its massive size of 15 tons, the duck added a new level of excitement to the competition. Analysts Rebecca and Cadence were put to the test as they navigated challenging holes, while Grant Zelner shares his on-the-ground insights from the course. But what's it like playing disc golf with this giant quacking in your face? The duck was perched precariously near 18 green, sending players into a frenzy. Will its presence intimidate or distract them? Watch as Kristen Lat tries to focus despite the distracting giant eyes staring back at her. [music] kind of curious as to what this is going to turn into. Mama duck [music] getting inflated and time lapse. And this duck travels all around the country, different locations, and they were looking for a spot to have this in the Twin Cities. And the crew here at the preserve jumped on the opportunity to add another attraction [music] to this tournament this weekend. >> 15 tons. >> I'm wondering if you squeeze it, does it squeak? >> There's only one way to find out. [laughter] >> Look at the duck. What a great view. >> Just lurking. believe that's going to be at circle's edge for the A position and the B position is actually considerably shorter. So, too much power and we might see too much power coming out of Rebecca here or excuse me. Yeah, Cadence putting too much on that. I >> Here's Rebecca [music] for you. >> What the duck was I thinking. has a much smoother drive. Hits the front of that hill, skips up to the pin. >> I want to bring in a third member of our broadcast, and that's Grant Zelner, who's been out there on the ground weathering the conditions the last two days. Today, looks like it might be a little bit better. And what the duck is going on out there, Grant, what are you standing next to? Tell us about it. It's the world's largest rubber duck and it's right here in Clearwater, Minnesota for at least the day. Maybe we can persuade it to stay the whole weekend. I have no idea. I know that it is literally staring directly at 18 green and more than one golfer coming off the course has mentioned the fact that these lifeless gigantic eyes are staring down their putts. So, I guess it's another hazard on the course of disc golf to go along with the ponds and the bunkers. I don't know. >> Wow. Is this daunting or what? How could you put this out of your mind? Honestly, >> it's quacking me up. That's for sure. >> Was Kristen Lat after a 9 under par effort. But first things first, the viewer doesn't know, you're staring at that duck right over my left shoulder. That's terrifying. Yeah, [laughter and gasps] >> it is a little bit terrifying. I have to answer all the questions correctly....
