foreign welcome to another edition of this week in disc golf it is Tuesday November 1st I'm Charlie eisenhood and let's talk about what happened this week well we officially had our first event of the 2023 disc golf pro tour season yes technically 2022 2023 combined wraparound season but still the points count towards next year's Pro Tour Championship it was the lake Marshall open taking place in Virginia and 50 points were on a line for the winners in both mpo and fpo as a silver event so worth half the points of an Elite Series let's Dive Right In over in mpo Luke Sampson out of Illinois gets his first ever dgpt win and it puts him at the top of the disc golf pro tour Leaderboard in the 2023 season he's sitting with 50 points over in fpo what a dominant performance from Macy Vella Diaz unbelievable she beats Sarah Holcomb and Natalie Ryan by nine Strokes shoots the hot round in both rounds two and three and really just never looked back she had a five shot lead going into the final round she only took one double bogey or Worse was one of the least out of bounds players at the tournament and really just shined on a very difficult Lions course at Lake Marshall and a couple of eagles on 18 and even got an ace so all around just a phenomenal weekend for Macy Bella Diaz it's her first win on tour and of course she leads the fpo division for the 2023 standings for now and it was is also her highest ever event rating it's your statmando stat of the week so Macy Villa Diaz averaged 991 golf at the lake Marshall open that's the highest event rating of her career and of course it is her first dgpt win it's her 38th win in fpo and that means that she now has a 50 percent win rate competing in fpo obviously a lot of those tournaments B and C tiers but very high ceiling for Macy Villa Diaz we'll see what she can do in 2023 as she currently sits in the lead elsewhere in the disc golf world the national amateur Disc Golf Tour held its national championships this past weekend maybe you caught some of that live on the disc golf Network for the final round congratulations...
