hello and welcome to a brand new show here on the disc golf network it's called this week in disc golf and it's premise is simple we're going to catch you up on the latest that's been going on around disc golf and on the disc golf pro tour every single week throughout the 2022 season i'm charlie eisenhood i am the editor of ulti world disc golf i'm a host of the upshot podcast i'm also a commentator here on the disc golf network and we're just going to break down everything that's been going on so we're actually going to do two weeks for this first episode so we can catch you up on what happened at the las vegas challenge and it was a great start to the 2022 season drew gibson beat gannon burr in a four-hole playoff to kick things off in mpo and katrina allen got the best of paige pierce on the final hole let's take a look at how it all went down we go ahead to hole 17 drew gibson down two strokes to gannon burr sitting at 37 under par and here is his drive on hole 17 beautiful shot puts him inside the circle again burr a little further away from the basket his look for birdie comes up short so gibson able to put that birdie in we go to 18. gibson down a stroke big time backhand power sends this one all the way up to the cameraman he's in great position to attack for the birdie bird normally plays this hole short but decides you know what i gotta go for it i need the birdie in order to close this out in regulation and he just barely skips on the cart path clear of the water he is safe and he is in great shape so he steps up to his up shot just has to put this close one of the best putters on tour said he loved it out of the hand but it catches the top of the hill and it rolls out of bounds unbelievable mistake there from burr so gibson with a chance to force the playoff perfect upshot gets the green flag he puts that birdie in they go to the playoff so three holes deep into the playoff they go birdy birdy birdy they're all matching the whole...
