welcome to another edition of this week in disc golf it is april 28 2022 i'm charlie eisenhood let's talk about what happened this week well we had the jonesboro open last weekend out in jonesboro arkansas back on the disc golf pro tour after the pdga champions cup the first major of the season and boy did it deliver we had quite the battle in mpo and a dominant performance in fpo and it was two players who had yet to win on the pro tour in 2022 calvin heinberg and kristen tatar getting the win let's take a look at how it went down in mpo early in the tournament alden harris cashing in the birdie putt on 18 and look at that clean score card eight down in the back nine he finishes at 11 under on the day takes the lead he's been playing well lately round two the story was all about simon lazzotte beautiful tee shot on eight he's in for the eagle on 16. he puts together a 13 under par the hot round of the tournament and the best round by rating this entire season but when we get to the final day it is macbeth kevin jones and calvin heinberg battling at the top macbeth opening things up with a birdie on hole number one he would get two as well and then how about this shot on hole number three that's a tap in birdie coming up beautiful tee shot from macbeth jones up and down in his early part of his round and then bang hits the eagle on hole number 12. he is fired up huge shot totally blind for kevin jones for the eagle on 12. then on 13 heimberg the only one of the top three to get the birdie so he claws a stroke back from jones then to 14. uh-oh overturns the tee shot heimberg into the ob painful mistake kevin jones on the other hand hits the birdie putt from distance that's a two-shot swing he is in command we go to 16. macbeth needs to find some magic and this tee shot pushing way out of position into the woods heimberg such a master of the powerful low line drive shots and an absolutely perfect position to attack for eagle macbeth totally out of position somehow finds a gap can he clear...
