what's up everybody Brian airheart here with Team Discraft in the disc golf Network and you are watching another episode of level up today we are throwing technique out the window and we're going to talk about how you can take your current skill set on this given day and maximize your scoring potential let's get into it if there is truly a way to optimize your scoring without having to work on your Technique why do people work on technique technique helps you throw in a more balanced fashion it helps you throw more effortlessly and it can open up a variety of shots for you moving forward with that said regardless of how good or bad your Technique is you have to show up to the course and use whatever toolkit you have that day to score and get from point A to point B as quickly as possible the rest of the tips in this video are going to be split up into two categories mindset and course management so first let's get out there on the course and take a look at some course management situations there's a classic phrase in the world of golf that has been around for a very long time and that's drive for show putt for dough recently that has been kind of debunked in both disc golf and traditional golf the stat that actually matters most to lowering scores for a lot of players is just greens and regulation and that means hitting the green and having an opportunity to putt for birdie so let's talk about how we can make better decisions to hit more greens in regulation and make less stressful rounds happen so this brings me to another tip and that is do not always be hunting for the bullseye when you're approaching a green or throwing a t-shot sometimes course designers will put the pins in specific spots to tempt you to try to hunt the bullseye with something much more challenging and technical than something that will just put you inside Circle one if you just start trying to give yourself a look for a birdie rather than trying to park every basket you'll find yourself throwing a lot more consistent shots and something that's a lot more comfortable for you that you can throw time and time again so this is a good example...
