my name is brian cole i'm the tournament director for the portland open i also happen to be the president of the stumptown disc golf club and am also the operations manager for the disc golf pro tour so we're in three hats here this weekend brian cole is the center of the cog on this one i don't think that we could have done this event without brian obviously 2020 was very pandemic affected we're still hoping to reserve blue lake but we knew that they had not been preserving the park throughout the coveted pandemic and that's when we kind of started working on a backup plan we shipped it to our backup venue glendavier and we couldn't be more thrilled to be here we're gonna see a lot of big shots it's a long course big shots big rollers beautiful portland landscape i think that it's going to be one to remember hopefully a battle down the stretch and it's really just kind of sets the scene for really why i call this place home it's the pacific northwest it's unique it's temperate we've got these beautiful large trees to play amongst it's just one of my favorite places on earth
