what's up everybody Brian aart here with Team disc craft and the disc golf Network and you are watching another episode of level up today we are going to be talking about one of the most common things I work with players on when they come to me for private lessons and that is nose angle and the swing plane and how they are related to each other joining me today to talk about this kind of complicated topic is a good friend of mine and a very well-respected disc golf coach from the Chicagoland area Mike Strauss great to have you here Mike has been coaching discol for a long time studying the game in Wild depths for quite some time now and I think he's a perfect person to have here to talk about this because Mike you and I have both been teaching lessons for a while and it seems to be that nose angle is the thing that we work on almost every time uh it's always nose up it seems like the players come to you and they say I can't stop throwing nose up I don't like it I want to fix that but inherently is a nose up shot bad no it depends on the shot depends on the situation um I kind of live by if something isn't done deliberate and you're kind of the uh getting the backlash of something that you didn't intend to do then becomes a negative but if we're throwing an approach shot or I'm going from 150 ft and trying to make it nose up can be your best friend and I think the first thing that you like to talk about and I'll let you grab the disc here is grip and I know you're a big grip efficient Auto you love experimenting with different grips but if you're giving a lesson to somebody who says I can't stop throwing nose up I don't want to what do you look at the first thing I look at is how the disc is laid in their hand hand if it's crossing the hand and then they grip this way M it can promote a nose up at the end it wants to kick the wrist up but if you take the disc and you move it in line and bring your wrist around it puts the...
