joining us now at the celebrity Pro-Am we've got Evan Smith and Evan you're here because you love disc golf but tell everybody out there why you're the celebrity uh I played 10 years in the NFL uh we won a Super Bowl in 2010 with the Green Bay Packers um kind of just fell into the sport at the end of my career when I was winding down and my body was failing on me and um you know it has really turned into something I truly enjoy and it kind of gets me going you know it gets me out of bed in the morning sometimes how does one who goes through the grind throughout your entire life in your career to get to the professional level of the NFL to win a Super Bowl how do you prepare for disc golf and and where does it translate if anywhere it translates quite a bit I you know even in football as much as of team sport it is you are still graded as an individual so what you do always matters and um you know I can't really play team sports anymore so I uh at least for disc golf you know it allows me to kind of focus that energy of being really good at something or trying to you know take a skill and like perfect it or get really good at it and it's just a battle it's you versus you yeah every day out on the course I mean sometimes I go out and I'll challenge myself sometimes it's just a stress reliever I just gotta go throw a disc sometimes I just want to go find somewhere new to throw and appreciate the scenery or you know find a new course sometimes I'm just throwing with my friends but after the end of the day I'm just getting out and doing it is really what I enjoy I mean like it just it really has made me have like a just a true appreciation for the pros and these guys that really grind and do everything because I went through that grind and I you know I know how hard that is but it's really hard to throw a disc too so to follow that up knowing how well they throw a disc and the professionals that we have in the disc...
