Eric Oakley: Pro Files with Dixon Jowers
Eric Oakley, professional frisbee player and athlete, sits down to share his unique life story in Pro Files with Dixon Jowers. From his childhood days of kicking balls, Eric's passion for sports was ignited by his dad's love for soccer, which led him to explore other forms of kicking, including field goal kicking for football. Despite not being the tallest or fastest, Eric's feet proved to be surprisingly coordinated, a trait that would later serve him well in his frisbee career. Eric shares his experiences playing soccer at a high level, thanks in part to an opportunity to watch English Premier League games with his dad overseas when he was just 10 years old. This exposure not only deepened his love for the game but also gave him insight into its cultural significance and global impact. Eric's journey from soccer to frisbee is one of adaptation and growth, as he navigates a new sport that requires different skills and techniques - including throwing with his feet!
Eric Oakley shares pro tips with Dixon Jowers in this exclusive interview, covering tournament prep & course management.
