one thing I've kind of been wondering and I'm sure a lot of disc golfers are wondering who maybe I haven't known you quite as long where's that Dark Horse nickname come from if the Dark Horse started actually it's a funny story of where everyone knows what a Dark Horse is in sports right it started and horse racing you pick a horse that has an outside chance of winning then you know most people probably know it from March Madness you know people will pick a Dark Horse team as like this this team could make it to the sweet 16 they also could lose in the first round right so I actually ended up picking a number one overall seed Michigan State this sort of thing was like back in 2006 2007 as a Dark Horse pick to make the Final Four when in fact it wasn't really a dark respect their number one seed they're supposed to probably make the Final Four and then from there some people got really like you know some of the teammates and stuff on my team we're like that's not dark horse that's not dark horse I'm like yeah it is and me my buddies kind of ran with it and it kind of I kind of embodied it a little bit throughout the years because Ultimate Frisbee was of really really hard thing to tell like your girlfriend's parents what you do for a living like what do you do for a living I play Ultimate Frisbee and they're like it's kind of a dark horse thing to tell someone as a job and so I think for me too it's you know I've kind of embodied that of being like the underdog being kind of like no one thought you can make a career doing Ultimate Frisbee just like there's probably a lot of people watching this that don't think I can be successful in disc golf right and so I kind of I kind of that just gives me that energy you know having people doubt you having people think you can't do it you know being the underdog it's always you know people love underdog stories people love it when you come in and people are like oh he's not gonna be able do anything and that just fuels me you
