welcome to beautiful portland oregon for the beaver state fling i'm ian anderson sitting next to nathan queen we are out at beautiful mila makaiver state park to kick it off man yeah fantastic spot to be first time the tour has returned since 2019 uh all the players are excited to be back and today we get to tackle the east course first that's right on the car today we have james conrad garrett gerthy paul macbeth and local scott withers should be a fun battle yeah scott's been a good player for a long time up here in the northeast excuse me northwest yeah it shows up at your local oregon tournament you're like all right i'm not winning this one maybe i'm fighting for a second tell us about whole one so they've changed the course up on us just a little bit you see this tree right here is now down not now they say it's not difficult enough to be hole 18 so it has switched a whole one oh really 60 feet uh still a very tough shot to get the two on uh 12th most difficult hole on the first day today uh you kind of got a sawed-off hyzer stand-up shot for the right-handed play it's pretty tough to hit that blade it's a strange angle it really is and uh it was a wet one in oregon it rained hard the entire time spoiler alert get used to it i don't know watch it at home nathan i always love these rounds you know it kind of feels cozy watching our wheels get wet grab a snack cozy up and watch some wet disc golf at home it's not too bad right now i still remember being there a little little wet ptsd yeah and this oh has tons of speed on it has that great late stand up and he's right there about circle's edge gonna have a birdie look on whole one one shot from garrett gerthy keeping it rolling after that hot portland finish james conrad you were just mentioning to me his his last two wins what are they yeah so james's last two wins were usdgc in 2019 and then obviously world's last year so only wants to win the majors hopefully he's probably wanting to change that up a bit this weekend though i wouldn't...
