and your 2021 elaine king player of the year missy gannon i mean it means everything to me i couldn't honestly believe it at first then i started reflecting on the season that i had and i started realizing all of the things that i accomplished outside of winning three events i was consistently in the top 10 and finding myself on lead cards and chase cards and feature cards missy cannon had a solid start to her season in 2021 but when the summer started getting hot missy gannon took the spotlight this season was my best season yet i am just like so proud of what i accomplished and i went from being like a solid top 10 player to finding myself more in the top five and then eventually becoming a champion at the des moines challenge this is missy gannon for the win and that win was a pivotal moment for me and for my career because it really made me feel like i am the top tier athlete that i am it gave me so much more confidence and to actually be able to do it again and do it back to back at the throw peak event and then the disc golf pro championship feels so surreal that i was actually able to do that at two of the biggest events that we compete in missy gannon was 77 inside the circle and when pressure putts are on the line she's got ice in her veins i'm so thankful for everybody that voted for me for you know how much support i've felt from all the fans and all my sponsors the disc golf pro tour all of the coverage for getting women's coverage out there more and being able to see players like myself i just feel so incredible and i'm so again honored to be your player of the year congratulations missy gannon on a fantastic season and winning the 2021 elaine king player of the year
