and your 2021 rookie of the year julianna korver being rookie of the year is an incredible honor but it is also quite humorous to me i never dreamt that i would be eligible for this award i've played over 300 events i've won over 200 events and kind of doesn't feel fair i'm sorry but thank you because i actually did not win rookie of the year in 1996 my first year playing pro i was i had just finished grad school i was working full time and i was going out and playing as much as i could but it wasn't as much as some of the other girls and so i didn't have the most points or the most money um and it it hurt back then not winning it so uh one more of the full circle uh experiences that i've had with this second time around juliana korver has 26 years of professional disc golf experience but this year she reinvented herself and proved that her game can still hang with the best of them on the disc golf pro tour this season was quite a surprise to me not anticipating being on the road at all and then doing so and seeing all the changes that have come about in the 20-ish years since i've been on the road before has been such an interesting experience i'm so grateful to see all the growth and to be able to be a part of it both in the earlier days and now has been extremely rewarding for me it took 26 years but julianna korver is your 2021 rookie of the year
