2020 Silver Cup | Round 1, Back 9 | King, Pierce, Cox, Finley
Watch as Ellen Wiggum and the LPGA Tour take on the 2020 Silver Cup's challenging Round 1, Back 9 hole. This par-4 features a variable tee box that requires precision from Haley Keith and her fellow competitors, including Rebekah Kaufman, Paige Pierce, and Jen Cox. The approach shot is particularly daunting, with a double mando in play that demands accuracy to avoid trouble. The wind and tree branches add an extra layer of complexity, making it essential for the players to stay focused and adapt quickly. Ellen shares her expertise on the sidearm approach, which proves to be effective despite a slightly weak shot. With its narrow fairway and tiny gaps between trees, this hole demands precision and finesse.

and I'm Ellen Wiggum also a teaming of thanks for tuning in we really appreciate you watching the women's coverage so we've got the round one about 9:00 here Haley Keith is leading us off currently I played we've got Rebekah myself only Finlay and page Pierce on the card so we're starting off at 12 even so this is a long one it's a par 4 but it is again variable for our field so you start the shot at the top of the hill a hopefully land anywhere in the gap here and give yourself an easy up shot for it the approach is actually really difficult you know if you don't land in the center even if you do end in the center I think the approach is really the hardest part of this whole I would agree it's almost like I know last year the women's the women played from the shorter tee pad across the road and it was almost how your upshot would be if that's the landing zone you're going for this actually has a double mando you have to go left of the tree from the tee and then left of the tree down by the road so you can't take that huge hyzer shot and play it off of the road so yes definitely want to get it to the gap and have a look for the birdie and it was windy you can see the tree branches moving it really it switched from a headwind to a tailwind on us in a matter of like 30 seconds when we teed off but the drop with the right that was it's so insane to see that so everyone scooted a little bit left I did land in the middle here and as I mentioned on the other coverage I've been working on my sidearm approach it look great I hit the gap it was a little weak I didn't give it enough juice but it felt good to be accurate about it so you know I have a long look at putt and you can see if you don't land in the center how difficult it is I mean look at that Wow you just are over here shooting at tiny gaps basically yeah those uh I guess they'd be a few trees some type of Juniper baby they are so...
