hello everyone and welcome to the 2018 dispelled Pro Tour opener the Memorial Championships presented by dis craft I'm your host chairman of the disc golf guy and a very special guest joining me Valerie Jenkins how you doing today Valerie hi Jerry I'm doing good thanks for having me I'm excited to see this round get kicked off it is very exciting we've got a great group of women Katrina Allen's on the tee and we're at Fountain Hills Arizona a very very dangerous course when it comes to water and Obi's there's Katrina on our first shot and what's interesting this year is that some of these holes are gonna be played a little bit differently so on this first hole it looks like they're shooting from the shorter tee pad is that correct teri that is this is the women's T it comes in at 318 feet not as much of a water carry the men are playing from a different T pad at 390 and this one's 318 and both Coleen Thompson and Paige Pierce will be right off the bat yeah so even though it's a little bit shorter tee pad it's still a difficult hole depending on the wind and seeing from that disk red flag it's a little windy out there even though it's early morning it is early morning and it's cold out you see everybody bundled up the temperatures somewhat heated up throughout the week but very cold to get started and Paige has a chance to save her par and she's scratching her head surprised to see that one come out on her and Coleen Thompson maybe a little bit of nerves here to get started on the first hole yeah you know it's it's early in the morning like you said a little cold maybe your fingers aren't warmed up yet and it's the first hole of a big tournament and Coleen Thompson she's a new face to the scene she's been around for a little while in the AM world you were telling me a little bit about her accolades what can you tell us more about calling Thompson I'm fortunate I knew Colleen as Katrina taps out for par on hole 1 I knew Colleen from back in the Midwest from when she lived and played in Illinois quite frequently a few years ago she took a...
