Thoughts on KONY 2012 | Brodie Smith

Brodie Smith discusses his thoughts on the 2012 viral video "KONY 2012," a powerful awareness campaign focused on ending child abduction and forced labor in Uganda. The film highlights the brutal treatment of children, often taken from a young age and forced into sex trafficking or recruited as soldiers in an armed group. The creator of the campaign is Joseph Kony, who is believed to be the main target of the movement. With a message that emphasizes the importance of sharing the story and getting involved, Brodie encourages viewers to spread awareness and support efforts such as donating money, signing pledges, and participating in action kits like poster posting and bracelet distribution.

Basically what's happening right now in Uganda is kids um from very young ages are getting abducted and getting thrown into um either se sex trafficking with the the girls or the boys are getting thrown into an army where they're forced to kill. Um, and basically what the movie's telling us is if we don't get the word out there, if we don't continue to share the story and get people involved and get people supporting it, what's going to end up happening is people are going to forget. And this con guy is the guy that's leading the charge. And he's the very first person that we need to go after. So, check out the description um on the website.
