hi we're here in spartanburg south carolina for the hub city halloween open presented by the great courses of south carolina i'm aj carey and i'm here with luke sampson here um we're excited to get at you here this is my first time commentating i don't know about you aj it is mine too so it's gonna be a fun one we're here at pipeline par 59 heavily wooded track yeah all i can say is these these players are in for the hardest one they start off with the hardest course we got a good feature card for you guys today a lot of good players some of them local a lot of them within the region we're going to start you off introducing the first one here the only lefty on the card zach melton he's a dynamic disc player he took third in last year's event here so he's probably looking to take the dub here you know make some adjustments we have chris dickerson from gray tennessee sponsored by prodigy discs he uh no introduction needed for c dig joel freeman here smiling uh loveland colorado native and nova disc sponsor and uh fashionable dude this is also his first year first year evan scott out of duncan south carolina sponsored by disc craft he's your reigning amateur world champion he's definitely a 16 year old to watch for yeah he's a young buck he's out here showing you know a lot of people what it takes hole three or sorry hole one here par three 303 feet it averaged at 2.8 and it's uh definitely a hole that a lot of players who have a little more power are going to throw a putter on just so that the steep hill side doesn't affect the disc as much when it lands um gotta make the initial gap and hopefully don't blow past it down the hill yeah the hill runs away real quick and it drops off to a ravine on near hole 17 so you got to check the brakes on the disc yeah we got uh zach first on the card here he must have the is that the lowest pdj of the group huh he must be yeah i think he does it's gonna be a little harder for the lefty here let's see what angle he releases the disc on...
