Welcome back to North Cove for the 2026 Blue Ridge Championships presented by Disc and generated by Grit Discs. Back here for round one coverage. We're taking on the back nine here of this newly redesigned course. It's great to be back here once again in Marian, North Carolina at a gem of the disc golf community. All right, we saw our feature card kind of up and down a little bit. Some little bit of a rough start to get things going, but right at the ship and collected quite a few birdies. Yeah, we see that Ganon is five down, Medio is three down. They still have a little little ways to go, but they have the I want to say the back plays a little softer. The most difficult holes were on the front. We'll start off one here that's right in the middle. Comes in and playing exactly the parole 10 apart 362 ft. Uh we've seen it in the past the later half of the coal, but we have a new teen area. So it'll be teen out of there, but still going toward this old pin location here. It is on a hill. Uh I believe there's hazard to the right. Is that correct? Hazard or OB to the right. you go too far down. Um, really just want to get into that gap and give yourself a look at a butt. Uh, I didn't I didn't see or hear anything about Obie or Hazard on the right, but there may very well be. >> Oh, wow. What is Did that Was that as close as I thought it was? We're about to find out. Oh my gosh. Wow. Looked like it hit metal. That's crazy. >> That was close. >> Yeah. >> Mio going with a forehand angle here again. Just trying to get into the gap. That's a little low. It's going to leave him with the putt. Maybe. There's a lot of sticks and trees in the way. Mhm. Clint trying to take the same forehand, but he pushes this a little wide. He's not going to find the gap, but >> just higher. That was a good throw. >> He may have a lane. He's going to be at the bottom of that hill, though. We'll see.
