ARP | 2026 Seth Burton Memorial | R1: B9 | Newsom : Kramer : Gurthie : Melton | MPO Feat. Card
Watch high-stakes action from the back end of the 2026 Seth Burton Memorial Disc Golf Tournament, specifically Round 1, Match 9. This broadcast highlights the intense MPO featured card featuring top contenders Newsom, Kramer, Gurthie, and Melton as they navigate the challenging back nine. The commentators provide detailed insights into the course strategy, noting that the rear holes demand survival skills after the easier front nine. Specific attention is given to Hole 10, a 611-foot par 4 that serves as the seventh easiest hole on the layout. Players must choose between a precise backhand drive down the gap with a left finish or a late-turning forehand, with faster speed discs like the Destroyer and Halo T-III recommended for optimal distance and control. The coverage tracks the leaderboard closely, discussing the performance of players like Brandon Brown, who sits at seven under par, and Zack, Tony, Jamie, and Lucas. Viewers can analyze the shot selection process, including the choice to use beat-up equipment for critical tee shots. The atmosphere captures the pressure of professional disc golf, where every drive counts toward securing a birdie opportunity. With sponsorship from Infinite Discs, the production offers an immersive look at the technical nuances of modern disc golf strategy and the mental fortitude required to excel in professional competition.
