Dark. [music] Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 2026 Appalachia Open presented [music] by Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge and powered by our friends at Prodigy. [music] This is a PDGA A tier. We will have all three rounds of MO action coming your way. Round one here at Wade Park. A swim production [music] proudly bringing you this commentary in conjunction with our friends over at Infinite Discs. In the booth, it is Felix [music] and I'm joined by a very special guest today, Mr. Andrew Fish. >> Hey, sneak attack. Not going to be Conrad today, but delighted to be here. Uh, I will also be on this card [music] playing blind at Wade Park. This is a fabulous newish course down in down near Rowan [music] Oak, Virginia. And they have made a doozy out here, Felix. Yeah, we saw some crazy scores coming in [music] last year. We'll talk about the layout as we get into it, but we're going to look at the players on the card. Starting off today, our defending champion Max Dayton, 1007 rated. [music] Be interesting to look at his game. And second, we will have the man on the mic, Andrew Fish. [music] Team Disc8 rated. Always fun having Fish on the card. Also joining us, [music] Matt Hammerson, playing out of Northern Virginia, but also has some southwestern Virginia experience, uh, having gone to college at Radford. We're also going to see Ian Burchett. Uh, Ian lists Rowan Oak, or I'm sorry, Radford as his uh, hometown, but originally from Illinois, I believe. Let's get right into it. [music] 15th hardest ranked hole of day, hole one. This is a tough one. Fish par 3 311 with a lot of technicality. Yeah, this one scores under par, but it's not going to give up easy birdies. There's [music] a very thick inside corner on a severe right-hand turn. We're playing from the long teapads to the [music] short baskets all day. Basket tucked over here on a little cove. Expect to see backhand turnovers from everybody. It's my first time getting to see Max's game here. forehand looks like it's there, but I don't think it really is, especially since you're mentioning that we're probably going to see four backhand turnovers. >> Yeah, I think wanting the glide is what induces the backhands. Uh forehand dominant player would certainly look...
