thank you welcome back Ace Runners this is the 2023 OTB open presented by MVP disc Sports we're here at Swenson Park in Stockton California and this tournament features a beautiful Golf Course now turn disc golf course I'm Conor O'Reilly joined by Holly Finley Holly super excited to be in the booth with you today for this back man yes sir it is my first time at the OTB open in the first time I've attended a thousand rated Productions event since 2019 and wow this place is amazing let's check out this top 10 leaderboard Paige Pierce snuck into the lead a couple of ladies on this card in the top ten Holton signature Par 3 here at Swenson 347 feet water takes up as much area as the land on this one it can really drag your brain to it too you need to push something out flat and rely on a bit of ground play as this green it probably is the fastest one on the course so whether you want to play a really firm mid-range or maybe touch on your Fairway play a wide driver shot you got some options here at 347 feet if you want to get a birdie here you really need to get it as close as possible because the putt is kind of scary and PSY is out of bounds in that corner you know the basket's so close to the water's edge you could just try to park it and then walk your shot in and have a drop in par yeah I think it's crazy how much this one really messes with the player's mental because like all he said I I feel like most players if you really just commit to playing it to the basket if you do go long OB yeah you might have to wait until the end of the round to get your disc back but the power is gonna be really easy I've seen people who play it for the layup and then they're even timid with the layup and they short it and then the water so yeah it might be better just to try to get up there for the birdie decide if you're brave enough for the putt that day foreign I'd say even though size out of bounds she might be the closest to the basket yeah...
