thank you Hello friends and family and welcome to the 2023 open at Austin presented by Lone Star disc this is the round one back nine coverage brought to you by Ace Run Productions thank you so much for filming the FBO Chase card we love you guys I'm Holly Finley and I'm Austin native Connor O'Reilly super excited to be with you guys on this extremely challenging newly cut Trek and we are seeing for the first time at the Harvey Penick Golf campus here we see the leaderboard Chris and Tatar Ella Hanson Evelina Salomon Paige Pierce Jessica Ruiz Holland Hanley and Rebecca Cox all within two strokes a couple other players rounding out that top 10 and the wind was really making the course play hard and it's already difficult as it is let's check out Holton 276 Par 3 right off the tee you have to throw over this out of bounds area you can choose a straight shot it's really high or a nice turnover or you can choose a hyzer shot whatever you do just make sure you keep it in bounds this should be a burnable hole but the wind today is wild so let's see if these ladies can make it inside the bullseye and get themselves a drop in 276 feet you just really don't want to let this one slip away Wheezy up first with a nice turnover off the tee yeah I think ideally for the ladies here to have that forehand it's going to be very nice also if you want to go with the backhand turnover I think you want to go with a slower disc to make sure it just holds right throughout the flight page going with the hyzer which we I don't know if I've seen a lady try this line and it pushes too straight on her stays in bounds there's a golf green just along there that really comes into play on the mpo position and we've seen Hanson's 4 s are very low and I'm not sure that she made it back in bounds the out of bounds is a little bit in the rough there it gives you about a foot or two into the rough em with a little more height on her forehand I like that better is there a flag line as well shout out to flight...
