hello everyone welcome to the 2021 pdga world championships presented by grip six this is a pdga major the biggest event of the year and we are in the beautiful fort disc golf course here in ogden utah ace one productions bringing you this coverage with commentary team will be myself felix and i'm joined by rebecca cox hey everyone we're here with the fpo feature card for the first round here at the fort course first we have sarah hokum team mvp sidearm dominant player coming off of an injury that she's been babying so um then we have ellen wood boom team innova also a sidearm mostly sidearm player next we have valerie mandujano team inova and kind of a rising star here on the pro tour joined with her sister alexis mondujano team disc craft so it's gonna be interesting to see all the different lines on this wooded course absolutely we're starting things off on a hole one this is a part three 315 feet with danger pretty much right off the bat having to carry this water onto this landing area to then give yourself a pot yeah whole one everyone kind of wants to just get the birdie right off the bat it's very reachable you can kind of vomit because the ground around the basket is very loose dirt sandy type and so nothing really skips it catches a lot so there is ob short and bright so sarah going with the turnover forehand line i like that line on the left side it's a lot cleaner landing on the left side of the basket than it is on the right side so she's put herself just around circle's edge ellen similar line but a little higher looks like giving it more time to finish out yeah she's really close to the basket right there but she has some trees in the way so she might have a tricky putt so valerie looks like she'll be attacking him with the backhand yeah so i saw valerie throw this line one day and she explained to me that because of the elevation change in utah everyone's discs are flying more stable and she doesn't have anything that flies straight really so she goes with that turnover line with something stable and alexis going up that right side and really pinching off some distance there...
