Shaky. >> Hello everyone and welcome to the Gri lock preview for the Jones Burrow Open. Uh back on tour. >> Anybody picking Kevin Jones to win? >> No, I learned my lesson. >> That used to be our thing. >> That was always our thing. He came in like 50th last time the Pro Tour was here. I think last year it was just an A tier. Two years ago it was on the Pro Tour. So it had a little year hiatus. So it is back. The course seems to be about the same. I didn't watch the full um preview, but I scrolled through the caddy book and then I skimmed through Ezra and Aaron Gossages uh thing just to ensure that like I know this course cuz this is a course that's been on tour since 2017, I believe. So, it's one of those where very recognizable. You know it when you see it. Uh good mix where it's it's an open course, but there are trees. So, the trees force you to shape certain lines. Um it's not just like throw a bunch of hisers his fest, but at the same time it is an open course in the s sense that like the landing zones in a lot of areas are massive. >> Yeah. >> Um some of the par 3s are long as well, but it is also like okay just carry the OB and give yourself a look. So it is a throwers course in that standpoint. And after the Supreme Flight Open, Big Easy Open, Champions Cup, all woodedesque, this is going to feel like a breath of fresh air for all the players who have been asking for open courses. So, back to the open here. That also means, as Ezra and Goss pointed out at the beginning, back to the wi wind a little bit. So, the weather overall looks good, but the wind will definitely be the biggest factor on day one. And then it kind of mellows out as the weekend goes in. Should be a pretty jumbled up leaderboard. I'm imagining we're going to see a lot of players in the mix going into the final day, which will be very exciting. So, >> let's look at the the last time the Pro Tour was here. Anthony Bella won by one over Ezra Aderhold. Now, AB had uh a rough start to the season, but he just put together a very solid event at Champions Cup. Are you expecting that to be the momentum shift he needed and that carry into this event? >> I am for sure. And I think that that was a really really good uh indicator for AB having that slow start that definitely there was some red flags there. But the fact that he was able to pull it together for a really tough major that like you know the best of the best were the players that were like sifting their way through that leaderboard. It's no doubt there's there's a reason why that lead card was so starstudded. It's because it took everything to to get to the top of that tournament. And I think him being able to put together a really like some consistent rounds at a hard course like that. Now going out to this event where I would have already been looking for him to bounce back as well as a a number of other players. You know, you mentioned this is going to feel this is going to feel like open season for guys like AB who can finally just unload on multiple um you know multiple parts of this course. There'll be there'll be opportunities for them to use that distance to their advantage. It's going to feel a lot more freeing. This is going to feel like a vacation compared to some of these courses they've had to play. I mean, we're talking about Big Easy just destroying people and then the how tight it was at Hornets Nest and then coming over here like they >> Oh, I forgot Hornets by saying that >> they have been choked out. So, this is going to feel like a breath of fresh air and I expect AB to be very dangerous. I'll be I'll be really disappointed if he falls outside of like the top five. Realistically, >> I do think his momentum will carry over mainly because while Jonesboro is drastically different from Champions Cup in a lot of ways, I do think that some of the players that succeeded at Champions Cup will succeed at Jonesboro because where it is similar is in the sense of like hitting lines way down the fairway. Um, as far as like a shot shapes and stuff like that, the what makes Jonesboro a little bit easier, a lot of bit easier, is just that if you miss it by a little bit, you're not running into trees and getting squashed down. It's kind of like there's a gap here and then there might be a gap way down there, but there's nothing in between. So, it's like if you hit the gap with power, you might falter a little bit later, but for the most part, it's just like get something out there. And so, I think that what led AB to success at Champions Cup will actually work really well at Jonesboro. The same can be said for even Ganon, Ricky, Hec, Niklo, he didn't play great the last time they were out here, but I think a lot of the same players that had success at Champions Cup could be at the top of the leaderboard at Joe's Bro. there. There are like two kinds of course that you get um or just disc golf hole in general. And a lot of these courses we've been playing, especially at Hornets Nest and especially at Big Easy as well, um they require the first 50 to 100 ft to have extreme accuracy. Some of the holes at New London and holes here, it's more 200 plus feet down the fairway that you need to hit those lines. And so I think there's a reason that golfers um like a Raven Newsome and an Evan Smith were really shining on these last events because they are super deadly accurate immediately off the tea. Where there are some other players like maybe an Ezra Ader hold who maybe don't have that elite accuracy directly off the tea, but if the disc has a little bit of ways to go, they can kind of course correct. It's a it's a different kind of golf. And that's where these really accurate players separate themselves in some of these events is because you give them a tight line 15 ft off the tea and they can hit that every time. >> Yeah. Well, I am not one of those players, but it is very fun to watch. Now, Ganon Burr has been publicly begging to get back into the open and here we are heading into a more open course that than what they've played as we've been talking about. Do you think he's inevitable out here even though he is yet to win this event? >> Inevitably in the top three. Yes. I I don't think he's I don't think he's inevitable to win. Not at all. I think there's just really good disc golfers out here. A lot of guys that can get hot. Calvin, another guy who's looking for a win so far this year. There'll be other players just hungry to be in the open. Gosage maybe gets in the mix. Um, but he is he is almost a guarantee to be in the top five and then I would say like shocked if he's not in the top three at this point. I mean, it just seems like unless we see a round from him that like just throws him out of it. It's a three-day event. If round one he just just plays so awful, then it's like, okay, that might be enough. But if he just hangs around day one, >> he's gonna be there day three. That's just what it is. >> He's just he's playing such good disc golf right now. He hasn't finished outside the top two yet. So good. >> And I don't expect I don't expect this course to be the one he struggles with. I think the only thing that could be interesting where I don't think he's inevitable to win is it is so scorable for a bigger chunk of the field that I think there's enough players that could get hot and get in the mix >> that if he's not at 100% if he's not on the top of his game, he might find himself six or seven back going to the final round and just not be able to climb back. >> Yeah, you can't wait to field out kind of like you could at Champions Cup. You you have to be able to attack right away. Different style. It might just be a situation where he just is a little off for one of the rounds and it's just that's enough where he can't climb back enough. Um I do expect him in the top five like you're saying. I even expect him in the top three and obviously no one's going to be surprised if he brings it home. Ricky Weissaki, he's had a pretty good start to the season so far and he has won this event three times in the past. Do you think this is where he gets a second win of the year? >> Definitely could. I mean he he should be in that bunch. Like I it's like I said, the way that this course is setting itself up in pretty good conditions off of the back of such a hard stretch. Like I really think that so many players are going to play well this weekend. I just have this feeling and I think it's I think it's just, you know, part of that is just us trying to analyze it. And when you get to a course like Jones Pro, it's really hard to just pencil in certain guys. But I just really think because of the way they've been challenged so far that it's going to open up. So, like I any name you mention, I'm going to I'm going to like them all basically, but they're going to have to they're going to have to sprint. Like I really do think it will be a really low number that will get you a victory. >> What I what I like about Ricky this year in particular is his putter has seemed to be back, especially in more clutch moments. And I do think that on a course like this where so many people on the Mio side um like so many people are going to be throwing the disc so well that it almost becomes a putting game where it's like okay everyone's going to be getting circle two putts. Who's making them? Yeah. >> Uh cuz it is a pretty there's several pretty long par threes where it's just like you know if the difference between winning and not is just did you hit the 50 foot? It dials up the pressure too because when you see the live scoring and players are just like you might not tee off until three and there might be guys exploding up the leaderboard and then when you stand over those 35 footers you're like the putts we got to make or I feel like I'm losing ground. >> What's also interesting is to see how like great Ricky has come out of the gates obviously with the win and then lost in the playoff struggled a little bit at Queen City. Brought it right back for Champions Cup. Meanwhile, Paul McBth has been completely absent from the scene. >> Yeah. third place, Supreme Flight. Dropped out of Big Easy. Didn't even register, like did not show up to Queen City. Played, I believe, two rounds at Champions Cup before he DNFed there seemingly due to the illness again. Not on the registration list here at Jonesboro. Whenever you talk Ricky, you immediately also are thinking Paul just because they were duking it out. At this point, a decade ago and yet a decade later, Ricky Weissaki is arguably the second best player in the world right now or definitely one of the top three. and Paul, we're still wondering, will he be able to even get back out on the course with with what's going on there. So, it is an interesting thing to be looking at the two different trajectories of this season in different storylines for drastic reasons. But what could also be exciting is the one time Paul did play, he was in third. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, it's like, is that another player, which like I said, he won't be at Jonesboro, but is that another player where Kansas City wide opens around a few weeks and we think we're starting to get a good feel of the field, and then you throw in one more killer, Paul shows up and maybe wins Kansas City or comes in second or third, and now this whole leaderboard's all jumbled yet again. >> It's crowded. >> Uh, another three-time Jonesboro winner that is starting to pick up some steam head to this weekend is Calvin Heimberg. He's coming off a fifth place finish at Champions Cup, which is his best of the year. He's been trending upward as the year has gone on. Are you expecting another top five out of Calvin here? >> Yeah, I actually like him a lot. And it's funny. I feel like Calvin a lot of times like these I don't want to call Jonesboro a forgettable event, but because of where it sits in the season after a major like in this beginning stretch and you know it's it just feels like an event that and it's early in the year. So like late in the year I feel like we're always like and where were Calvin's wins and last year he kind of changed that by winning a major. Obviously, it was kind of funny that he won the most forgettable one because it was right before Worlds, but I always joke that like I feel like that's Calvin's MMO is like he's going to grab a win or two in a season, but a lot of times they're the more unassuming. >> He also won tour championship last year. >> He did. Yeah, he did cap it off with that. I just don't really, you know, whether or not you >> I'm saying that's another one that like when you look at when you look back at Pro Tour wins, a lot of times you have to remind people like, "Oh, well, Dickerson has this many wins cuz he won two tour championships." And you're like, "Oh, I forgot about those." So, like I just feel like this is a very much a Calvin Heimberg spot is what I'm saying. Even though it's going to be an incredibly competitive tournament and I'm not saying that his wins don't matter for anything, that's definitely not the case. Uh, it just like since I love so many players here, I do feel good about Calvin. It feels like a spot in which he should win, which makes sense because he's won it three times. >> Yeah, I I would agree. I think that Calvin coming off the fifth, if he hadn't got that fifth at Champions Cup and he was still kind of hanging around the 20th place, still struggling a little bit, I I wouldn't feel as good. But he clearly put something together. He clearly figured something out last week at Champions Cup. And with going into Jonesboro, >> having a little bit of confidence from Champions Cup and the confidence of winning out here so many times, you got to like the guy. Um I definitely think that this could be a weekend he'll win. It's it's just a really a matter of who else shows up and at what level do those players show up because the top level of the field I mean really the top like 10 15 guys if they're playing at their agame it's a coin flip like they're just they're all so good and a course like this isn't going to really allow a a bunch of separation it's going to bring them all in. All of them have the distance all of them have the putt. So Calvin's definitely another one of the guys that I I think this could be a really good weekend for him. Um I am expecting another top five. I think this could kind of start that momentum and I'm kind of expecting a win within the next few events from Calvin. Um I I think it could be Jonesboro. I think it could be Kansas City. I like him here at Jonesboro though a little bit more. Is there a player that has had a really good start to this season that you are actually thinking the opposite of? You think they might struggle out here with the different style of course or how many how much the field's getting brought in? >> Yeah, I mean we mentioned Raven earlier. He's had a good start to the year. Um I think Evan Smith isn't playing a full tour this year. I think that's a player that would be interesting to know what happened, but he's not playing it. So um cuz he's been another guy that's been really good, but I think he's just good anywhere at this point. I don't know. I think I'll be curious just to see if any of the players that we expect to be finishing high up like a Ricky Weissaki like do they like take kind of their first like maybe blemish moving out with the field packing in like maybe looking for things like that cuz a lot of the players that have been playing well you just would expect them to play well anyways. So I don't I don't necessarily think there's going to be anything that surprising. Yeah, the player I wrote down is Raven Newsome because I do think that he's been having an unusually good start to the season. Not to say he's not a great player, but I do think that the style of golf we've been playing to start the year has suited him a little. >> He got like one of his he got a North Carolina course too as well. >> And so I think that going out here into the open where it's going to require some distance still, but it's just going to bring in so many more guys in my opinion. I think he could kind of get lost in that a little bit. So, um I I'm expecting him to be a little bit lower down the leaderboard than we've been used to seeing this year. So, probably outside the top 20 is kind of where I'm guessing there. Now, on the flip side of that coin, is there a player that's had a rough start that you think could turn it around here? >> Ezra Robinson. >> Oh, that's a great pick. >> Um I feel like his start has been a little bit disappointing this year. Um and I'm, you know, Isaac has has been pretty steady and we expected, I think, more out of Isaac. He had not a bad start to the year at all, but I think we expected him to probably get a win some point in this like tight wooded stretch that we were looking at. And I just think that Ezra >> so far the year hasn't been awful, but I I want to see him getting in contention more and pushing the leaderboard a little bit more than he has so far. >> Yeah, I'm actually going to take the other Ezra, Ezra Aderhold, my Darkhorse pick from last week. He has started the season 50th, 41st, 40th, 56th. I have a hard time believing he's outside the top 40 yet again at Jonesboro. >> Yeah, it's a bad start. >> I I I just I think Jonesboro is going to be one that he's able to kind of get his feet under him. I'm expecting a top 20 finish. Um obviously like last year or last time the Pro Tour was here, he lost by one, so he could get himself in the mix, but with how bad of a start he's had, I think that it's a win if he just gets into the top 20. Just get out there, remind himself he can do it, remind all of us he can do it. Um, and I think this course really suits him well. So, uh, I'm definitely thinking he could turn it around out here. Is there anyone else you have your eyes on this weekend? >> Not not really in particular. Um, really just seeing >> really my eyes are on the uh, scorecard. See who goes low. >> Yeah, I got three players kind of in in my mind. First off, Niklos coming off of a a major win. Yeah, >> that's always interesting when he won a major four days ago. 10-hour drive ahead of him to Arkansas prepping a completely different course. Um, and yeah, just to kind of all of a sudden you're right, you're right here. >> It's it's it's back and forth there because like you have this we always talk about the weight going off a player shoulders, but you also have to think like you can't be comp like it's good to play loose, but you cannot be complacent at all on four because guys are so hungry. So like if you're if you're like playing free but it's just not quite your sharpest like that will lo like that you'll get beat out by guys that are focused. >> That's what I'm very interested in is cuz I don't think if I was just looking at the schedule this isn't an event I would pick Niklos to like oh this is when I think he's going to dominate at it just not that he won't do well here. He has in the past but like last time he was here I think he was in 40th or 50th place. Um, so when you add in the factor of this emotional high of winning a major, becoming the first Finnish player to ever win a major on the no side and all of that, like how quickly was he able to actually refocus in practice out here and how much of it will just be his game is just a little off um because because of that, I don't know. I think another player that I have my eyes on here is Aaron Gossich. I think this is a course where I do expect Gossich to play pretty well and I think it's about time for him to maybe try to get his name into contention. >> He fought back valiantly just last week. >> He hasn't been able to put it all together yet. So >> I definitely look into him. And then the final player player not really on tour, Ben Callaway. >> Is he playing? >> He's playing this weekend. So two years ago when it was on the pro tour, I believe he also lost by one. I think he was tied with Ezra Aderhold and then he won it last year as an A tier that still had a very solid field. Obviously, you were missing your Ganon Birds of the World, but you still had a solid pro tour field. Callaway won that and then obviously went on later in the year to get an actual full pro tour win. It'll be very interesting for me to just watch. Okay, Callaway's picked this event as one of the events he's playing this year because he's not doing a full tour, not doing much of a tour at all. Um, where is his game going to be at? Not Not a lot of people's eyes are going to be on him. he's going to be just kind of coming out here, you know, probably just excited to just play play an event and it's somewhere he has had good success at historically. So, will we be able to see his name in the mix yet again? I don't know. I think it'll be fun to watch that. So, >> over on FPO, historically, this is a Kristen Lot or Kristen Satar dominated event, seeing wins by nine in 2024 and a win by 23 over Silva Sarin last year when Silva was actually phenomenal. Um, but with Kristen gone, whose event is this one to dominate? >> I think Silva is still in the best position. Um, just overall, I'm the most confident in her as a player, but I think this is a huge marker for Holland because I think that the course sets up well for her. I think she will be a player that's happy to get out of these tight venues. And she's done okay this year having to navigate that. So, I I think this is a big test for Holland to like I think Silva is just going to be a player this year that m kind of like Kristen where like you're going to be pushed and so I'm I want to see them get into a duel. That's really what I'm looking for. I want to see a Silva Holland duel. >> I I got to be honest with you. I just have my feeling that Holland's going to run away with this. >> You think she's going to run away? >> I think Holland might win in a Kristen like fashion. >> That's just crazy. >> Well, let me No, I don't think it is because look at this. So, let me just pull up Jonesboro from 2025 cuz what was going on when I was looking at this is like you would have so 2025 actually bad example because it's an A tier, but still you had Kristen at 25 under, Silva at two under, Rebecca Cox at even, but even when I was looking I need to go 2024 was the last time I was on the Pro Tour. If I remember it correctly, there was still um so you had Kristen at 22, Holland at 13, Eveina at 12, then Maria Oliva at seven, uh and Silva Sardin was all the way down at three. >> That was a big time throwers course leader board right there. >> That's what I'm saying. It's a big time throwers course period. And so when I'm looking at that and looking at well where Holland has developed over these past few years, >> if Holland's putt is solid, she can probably hang with Eveina throwing wise >> and then putt and it might be a situation where it's like on a course like this Holland can be the player we always talk about, man, if only Eveina could putt, she would look like this. I think that could be Holland. So I think Holland Holland might win by five or more across three rounds here. I think um I do think Silva is going to be in the mix and then I'm expecting either Eveina or Henna because I do think this is a thrower's course. I think more with Silva's problem is going to be the distance side. There just are some long par 3es. There are some short parfs where yes, she can birdie, but can other players eagle? Um I believe out here is even where we saw the albatross from Holland. Unless that that might have been in California >> a few years ago. >> I feel like that was an OTB. >> It might have been OTB. But regardless, I really think that this is going to be a big event for Holland. But let's talk Eveina and Henna. When we look at a course like this, seems so much like a throwers course. As we just said, you start to think Eveina, but with the performance we just saw from Henna at Champions Cup, >> does your mind start to go her before Eveina or you not ready to do that? >> Uh, yeah. I don't know. I I don't know. I mean, Henna obviously threw a great just been not nearly as consistent over the past few years, even though like at her best, like you see the similar skill set. So, I would be I'm always entertained when Henna and Eveina are in contention because you see an interesting style of golf. I think if the wind is up, that's major advantage them. So, what I'm looking for is if the wind is up early in the tournament, expect to see one of the two of them, if not both of them, towards the top of the leaderboard and expect them to fall as conditions calm down. >> Now, what about Ella Hansen? Yeah, I I I noticed that name, too, and kind of thought, well, if the course sets up for throwers, like that that brings her in, but I don't know. I just don't really see it at this very moment. Like, I just don't feel I don't feel like she's going to be able to take down Silva and Holland. I unless both of those two players have a bad tournament. >> Yeah, I I mean, if you look at Ella, she just hasn't had the start of the season you would want. She's sixth place at Supreme Flight Open, but then went 14th, 10th, 18th. Obviously, lot of woods in the Big Easy Queen City Champions Cup. That's not really Ella's forte. But if she her game was on with like the FPO Field uh Champions Cup, I think 18th was almost midpack. Yeah, it was 48. So mid-pack would be like what 24. Um you you would have thought if her game was on, I mean she lost by 27 strokes. Um 25 strokes, something like that. If her game was on, you would have expected her closer to like eighth place, which is still 17 strokes out, but at least like closer to even par. I think her game must just be off for her to be this far back every tournament. Anything can happen in one week, but it will be interesting. Another player I kind of have my eye on for this tournament is Cat Merch. >> Was this her win? >> She won this in 2023. >> Okay. >> Sixth place at Big Easy, third place at Queen City, 20th place at Champions Cup. did not play Champions well beg the question of Queen City I wouldn't say that's her style of course she's won out here at Jonesboro she did not play Jonesboro well last time it like last time the pro tour was here but I am curious if she can kind of get up the leaderboard and get in the mix here >> she definitely can but like I think her and Ella I still view a similar way where it's just like they do get hot at times but they're just the the the product is not consistent enough for me to be trying to really predict them at any point like it just doesn't >> it just I mean especially like if you go and win the tournament one year and the next year you're you're not really good at all like that's tough. >> I think that this is a tournament where I if you're Holland or Silva and you're one of the players who you're you're looking to be player of the year that's kind of like that's my goal this year which I would imagine it is for both of those players. You got to have this one circled on your calendar because you're not having to go toe-to-toe with Missy Gan and her own Scoggins. um that I mean even the Mandano sisters are missing from this weekend. Like the FBO field is pretty wounded. You still have Hannah Silva, Eveina Henna. So it's not like whoever wins this is going to be a fraud win, but when you take out on Scoggins and Missy Ganon, those are two players you typically have to go through that you don't this weekend. So I think it will be a very interesting tournament in FO, but like I said, my gut is saying Holland Hanley is about to run away with this thing. >> Okay, >> we'll see. Now, pick them time. Uh, Tour Life chose Ganon Burr, Aaron Gossage, Luke Taylor for NO, Eveina, Henna, Sophia for FO. >> Mo, I feel like there's a really clear idea. >> Well, FPO, I have a pretty good idea. >> Okay, >> this is where I'm looking at. >> Well, then I'll I'll start you start with that idea. >> I because like I said, I'm feeling Holland this weekend. >> Yeah. >> Holland to me is she hasn't finished outside the top three yet this year. She's going to be in the top few. >> You would I'd be shocked. Yeah. >> Uh obviously we have to choose either Holland or Silva. I We've already used Silva some. I would much prefer to use Holland here. I think Holland's going to beat out Silva. >> I think she has a better chance of running away with it than Silva does. >> And then we're looking one player. We're going to skip the $2 tier for a second because a player that got left completely on the board that I think could be a no-brainer is >> Ida orda. >> Oh, is playing. She's playing she came in fifth at Champions Cup I think throwers course like I don't know the >> tour life guys took Sophia Donica which is not a bad choice by any means but >> a great pick. >> I feel like either you could like win a tournament at some point. >> That's what I'm saying. I feel like that is the freest dollar pick of all time cuz I think it's just Edwin hasn't had a chance to really feel her out to feel figure out where she belongs in the money leader board. So she's not her picture wasn't even on there. So I think we kind of got a steal there. That's huge. And that leaves our $2 pick, which is the only one I'm like not certain on. >> Gosh. >> Because basically our options are Katrina Allen, Lisa Fus, Jessica Girthy, >> Sophia. They took Taylor Chosik is an option. Rebecca >> Don Taylor is an interesting one. Where has she been? Like I know it's been bad. I know it's been bad, but like how bad? >> Like has there been any promise where it's like, oh, you know, get her back out of the woods. >> Tour life is assuming we're taking Taylor Chosk. They said that on their podcast. She just took a second at the Blue Ridge when she was >> and then went 28th, 29th, 21st. >> Blue Ridge, she came in second. >> She beat Henna and Paige, but like no one was there. >> Yeah, I there are safer picks for sure. >> Well, but not really in in the $2 tier. Like Lisa Fake is >> like what has Katrina Allen done? Like she's been pretty good this year. >> Let's see. Uh, I know she just >> I think one thing we also have to be looking at is like so she just took 12th. She's went 10th. Okay. So >> pretty good. >> 19th, 10th. >> She scored three out of the last four. >> 12th. What has she done at Jonesboro? She never won Jonesboro. >> She's won Jonesboro once back in 2021. So not that long ago. >> I don't mind that. That feels safe because she's been playing just like she >> Well, let me just see like 2024. Did she play Jonesboro and where did she come? >> Let's see. 22nd at Jonesboro in 2024. >> Not good. But she also >> 2023. >> Jonesboro in 2023. She came in 11th. So she doesn't play Jonesboro great. >> Well, she did win it. >> She did win it in 2021. >> I just think she's playing currently pretty solid golf. That's what I'm I'm trying to go with somebody who's currently playing pretty good golf. She scored three out of the last four weeks. >> Well, let's just look also >> like has anybody else done that that we can >> Where's Rebecca Dawn been? I haven't heard her name. >> Yeah, I don't I don't think we're gonna like that. >> Rebecca Dawn. >> No, we do not like Rebecca Dawn. Let's see. Lisa Fajita. >> Yeah, she had like one good event, but I just don't think >> Lisa Fus has went 29th 32nd back. I think it's Katrina >> chat. Yeah, it's like it's not a great pick. We have to We have to kind of bank on our >> I mean because the only Let's just look Jessica Girthy. >> That hasn't been good either. >> Well, she won Queen City. >> Yeah, since then. I mean >> 34th at Champions Cup, but she went 8th sixth first 34th. >> It's That one's not an outrageous pick. We could >> Well, it's just either her or Katrina Allen. Which one do you like more? Well, let's let's look at her past Jonesboro performances. >> Yeah, good idea. I was like, cuz that that's not a it's just she had a bad week, I guess. >> Did not play Jonesboro in 2024. >> Okay. Jonesboro 2023. She came in 13th. Has she ever won Jonesboro? No, she never won a probate. >> Won her first one >> 2022. >> I do like that this one like feels like a player that would get in contest. >> She didn't play Jonesboro in >> like I don't think Cat's getting >> so she just hasn't really played Jonesboro >> cuz like Cat could get us a top like a tenth. Jessica Girthy could get us like a fifth. >> She came in 18th at Jonesboro in 2021. >> We might have to go there. I don't hate I look I mean the 86 winning Queen City and then the next weekend like the next tournament coming in 34th in Champions Cup I would have never picked her at. >> Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine with it. >> I think let's do it. Let's go. Let's go Jessica Girthy. >> I mean in my mind it's these it's our first two and Holland are >> in particular Holland. Like Holland needs to win this tournament cuz they have >> Oh, they didn't take Silva either. They took >> which could go anywhere. >> This could backfire on them. Like they could legitimately die. >> I think Eveina is their safe one, but Hannah Sophia Donica I mean >> they're basically saying it's a thrower's course. Let's take let's take double thrower. >> Sophia's went seventh 15th. >> She'd been okay this year. >> Yeah, that's it. 715. She only played two events. >> Oh yeah. Hm. They They're definitely banking on it being a thrower's course, which I think we're kind of matching that in a way. We're not We didn't take any like anybody that you'd say >> 23rd, third, second, but yeah, I I like our picks. I like that. Okay. Now, Mo, you have a good feel. >> I think that it would be crazy not to go Rick Calvin. >> Yeah, I I was thinking Ricky for sure. >> I I love Calvin here. I mean, they're both three time winners. Like, >> I think Rick say no AB's in that $4 tier. He's a He could win but he's a risk and I just think like Rick Calvin there's surely those guys are top 10. >> So then $2 >> $2 is very tricky. >> Sullivan Tipton >> I don't hate >> Hamz >> I don't hate Sully or Hamz necessarily. They both had I think I think Hamz had a better season. >> I'll be honest with you. How the heck is Ezra Aderhold in the $2 tier still? >> Yeah hasn't had a good finish. >> Maybe just because of his history. That's probably why. >> No, he didn't move him up. He's been there. So Sully hasn't had a top 10 yet. He's went 20. Well, actually, never mind around. He went fifth at Supreme Flight, then he's went 21st, 12th, 12th. >> He's been around. I think Hamz has had a better season, though. I think Hamas has actually been pretty solid this year. >> But like, did we miss him? >> Just came in eighth at the Champions Cup. He's went seventh, ninth, 26. >> I actually like Hamz. >> All right, let's do Hamus. >> Ricky, Calvin, Adam Hams. >> Yeah, that's another one where it's just like the Rick Calvin play. You have to feel good about that. >> All right, I'm going to text these into Edwin. We're locking them in. Obviously, Ganon and Goose, you know, that's going to work out. So, it's just a matter of >> hopefully Rick or Calvin wins. >> All right, locked in. >> Snarky text from them any second now. Locked in. >> Knew you would do that. >> Yeah, >> they didn't. I listened to it. They They were They were for sure thought we were going They thought we were taking Silva, >> which makes no sense to me. They thought we were taking Silva and Taylor Chosk. They were like 100% positive. >> I feel like that's like the old grip. Gary Dario, Sir Gary, which I don't even know if Julie's on that podcast anymore. Yeah, Brody said, "Red you like a book." And I'm going to say, "Listen to the podcast." I don't think he said a single one of those picks. >> Nice. What if they What if they meant that? Oh, no. >> You say it by name. Say it by name. like you said we were going to take Silva and Taylor Chosk just to like really stick it to the man. This is the kind of things we have to deal with guys. Like we submit our takes and and we beat them by a lot of points last week but but we was it's they're still killing us. So we submit our picks every week and >> y'all were certain we were taking Silva and Taylor Chosik like a bunch of idiots. >> That's good. That's good. >> That I'm going to say that would almost be as bad as Evelyn and Henna. Oh, now that is interesting. >> When you're up, you got to be up. >> You're right. You're right. There's a there's a shifting power. >> I'm say I'm gonna say that would almost be as bad as Henna and Sophia. >> Okay. >> Evelyn, I think, could be in there. >> Okay. >> There we go. There we go. >> Shifting of power. >> Look, when you're up, you got to you got to puff your chest sometimes. We might not get a chance to chirp the rest of this year. >> Oh my trouble. >> All right. Uh, time for Trevor and I's predictions against each other. I won last week because I picked the FPO winner correctly, which was uh Silva. I got 10 points for that. So, I am now up 27 to 26. >> Oh, yeah. I was like I thought I was going to dominate, but I forgot. It's because we thought AB was going to win. That's why. >> And AB he didn't fall apart, but >> um yeah. So, Mo, I'm taking Ganon Bur to win. I'm taking Anthony Brell to come in second. >> Have to. >> And I'm taking Ricky Weissaki in third. >> Leaving Calvin off the board. >> Leaving Calvin off. I'm taking Ganon Calvin AB. I just I don't know. I feel really good about Calvin. Really good about >> for our picks. I hope you're right. What about for FPO for you? >> FO. I'm going to go Holland Silva. Eveina. You probably have a similar >> I went a Holland Eveina Silva. >> It just makes too much sense. >> Yeah, this week probably comes down to the Darkhor >> and Darkhorse. I'm taking Cole Ralin. >> Cole. >> He's not had a great start of the season, but he cashed. >> He did >> at the last event. So >> Paul Cray, he's had a fine start to the season. So there's >> I thought you were going to take Ezra a hold. >> No >> when you walked over but dirty crayons. So there you have it. That is our preview for the Jonesboro Open. It'll be live all weekend on the Disc Golf Network and we'll be back Monday to recap all the story lines that happened out there. We'll see you then.
