welcome back to Bonanza disc golf today we're at Fairhope Fairways in Fairhope Alabama and we're going to be taking a look at a smaller disc golf company who right now I think only has two or three molds which is birdie disc golf supply company now birdie is sponsoring portion of this video so that if you want to go and pick these up you do so with the first link down in the description but they sent me out three discs so we're gonna see how they fly across six holes here and as always with these bag of Bennett Style videos if I can't beat par with just the birdie Marvel Supply discs never throwing them before I'm gonna have to give them all away doesn't look like this course is too crazy though because whole one is straight ahead of us here about 268 feet right now birdie only has two Putters and a fairway well the putters are the same because they're both the birdie Marvel you might know about this guy from Scott Stokely we're going to be putting with this base blend one which feels very good it feels kind of like a deeper AVR I haven't felt a lot of Putters because I've only ever putted with Piers but they also have a premium blend burning Marvel Putter and what's kind of nice is they change the numbers on them this one is two three zero one this one is two three zero two and then the lastest they have is a fairway driver and and this is their birdie special edition strike 7502 so like a lot of other Fairway drivers but everything in sm502 tends to fly very similarly so I'm hoping that I can throw this guy well and on this first 270 foot hole we could just take a putter up the middle and I kind of want to do that but I think instead we're gonna practice my forehand with the fairways and see just how stable this is if it's actually a 7502 because they're all pretty much max weight 174 174 173 175 and if we look at the profile on this strike right here it's just exactly what most other Fairways are except this isn't quite as blunt as some others that I've seen like T-Birds I might cut through the air a little better it might fly a little faster I think we're going to try to take this outside Gap here and just skip up to the basket hopefully take our first birdie that flew very very well but I just threw it directly at the tree so got a long thought to start but I really like the way that thing flew it they don't want to turn much even though it was on a slight hyzer but it didn't want to fade fast it's kind of exactly what I'm looking for in that Fairway slot at least off of one broke which can't really talk too much all right so we got a nice long putt to start the day we're gonna go with our base blend Putter and these are my old Piers honestly the Marvel is a little bit deeper for sure and this roundness is a little bit more gradual see it gets round and then kind of Curves back around on the pier right here whereas this guy kind of gets around and then has a little bit more of what you'd see at the very bottom of a zone or harp so I'm wondering if it's that that's going to make it more stable it feels pretty good in the hand and for my grip which is like this this part makes it feel like it might be a little too deep the plastic itself feels a little bit hard for a base plastic it's not like what I would normally like in a putter plastic but I know a lot of people like this hard stuff luckily we're gonna take it easy too from a 90 foot puck no we're not that thing is definitely more of a two-speed putter than the three-speed putter that I'm used to because it didn't want to stay in the air as it started to die if you'll notice the slower speed discs like a one or two speed they as they start to kind of die to the ground the slower the speed of the disc the faster it gets to the ground and that just kind of died which kept it close to the basket even though with my pure if I made that same exact run I think I'd probably have about another five or ten feet that was a good catch because that was right side yeah this grip is a little bit deep for me but I also got a little baby hands because I'm like three feet tall all right hole two is pretty short I think this one's like a 170 190-ish feet straight there we're gonna call Mando right of that pull which I think kind of makes sense you don't want to be left of it but I'm going to be throwing the Baseline Marvel because we're gonna put it onto the Annie and it says the numbers are slightly less stable and I do like throwing Baseline Putters I just really haven't recently but I got my first date so the Baseline warden so hopefully we can get another Ace all right they like the trees well they don't like the trees I like throwing them into the trees but they kind of stayed straight and even I saw it was starting to want to fight back which is interesting it's definitely not a flippy putter it's definitely a neutral putter because like a flippy putter would just kind of stay on that turn I might even miss that tree to the right but when you throw a disc into the tree instead of actually aiming your hips out to the left and letting the anhyzer do the work all right let's see if we can correct on this putt foreign even through two I think this next hole we're probably gonna throw the premium one no matter what it is that way we get all three discs thrown and then we can decide what's best for the last three holes but they just seem relatively straightforward which is good I like seeing more people in the game because that forces more companies to innovate I mean the discs feel good I hope they come out with more I just like more discs more choice this one is 232 feet it's through this Gap and then to the right pretty heavily I think I'm gonna actually throw the um I think if I put this high enough and with enough turn at the right angle a lot of things that I need to do correctly this could be really good but I gotta aim my hips correctly all right you can do this through the Gap let's get a birdie kind of appropriate name I guess or at least hopefully it will be oh baby let's go that's far though I hope that hits something in sat because I think I threw that about 300 feet on the 250 volt hole I really hit my line though that's one thing I need to get more touch on is throwing those shots with more finesse instead of having to power all the way up to hit the lines all right so the bad thing is I didn't hear anything at all I do think I see it though it might just be outside the circle one two ten I think we're at like 31 feet sick foreign let's go what a good putt that I kind of like that putt if I had to switch for my peers which I have like literally 10 Piers right now so I don't really want to switch but if I had to I might switch to a two-speed putter that feels nice birdie let's go all right it actually is a good name for the company because we finally got one this one is picking up all right this whole backs up to some trees so it's pretty hard to shoot but it's 256 feet if you follow this kind of Fairway snaking along to the right it eventually sits down at a basket 260 feet out I think we're gonna try something interesting and try forehanding this because it feels like it's going to be relatively steep the other birdie was pretty stable this feels like it could be as well so I have to put a lot of hyzer on it not try to force it over just be smooth with my good forehand form that we've been working on on the channel okay gosh man I love trees I just realized that was so dumb there's so much wind coming this way so any flight Plate's just gonna push it so far because that was a pretty solid shot I just need to push that left side line that basket's a little farther than I gave a credit for this is the fun part about throwing with these because you only really have a couple options I have a forehand through this Gap but I don't really have anything as overstable as I'd like unless I throw the Fairway driver from 180 feet or we could you know what we're just gonna go putter again we're going to try something pretty interesting the wind is helping so I don't need to give it crazy angle or speed sit down that's fine that's 20 feet I shouldn't get back to that birdie now but now it's in my head and we're putting it to a headwind but that's super easy putt oh yeah these baskets have half of the chain but we still made it let's go on to Hole number five oh we got another 300 footer I might need to make a safari hole so we can actually unleash on the strike because so far I think everything's like 300ish feet all right this hole is 311 feet so we're gonna give it two shots we're gonna give it an actual shot which I think actually isn't even gonna be the strike I think I'm gonna throw the Putter and try to put it high enough with enough turn to get through that first Gap actually no the strike is definitely the play because it is pretty straight so I'm gonna try to go through that Gap not the middle one but just the left of it just sneak up through there get a skip up the hill and then we're gonna try to see if we can get this putter pretty far because it feels like it wants to go a bit well I missed that Gap Big Time holy crap I pulled that it's far I mean it went 320 feet but the wind is pushing I keep forgetting we're going down a hill and the wind is pushing us downhill came out smooth though and it didn't take a lot of force but it's it's there all right here's the marble that was like an easy 320 with the putter like free state that's a that's a pretty nice disc I thought it was going to turn a lot more that was incredible holy cow just to show how ridiculous this is like absolutely ridiculous this is the putter like this is a 311 foot hole the easiest two ever so we got a nice little forehand anhyzer up that's pretty chill I was really a little nervous that we're gonna give up our birdie there but we're still down one with one hole left I want to see how flippy this guy is so we're gonna make an interesting Sparkle all right we got to make sure it's far enough but we're gonna play from here back to the second basket that we played at and we're gonna call Mando between those two light poles right there so you got a hyzer in which is basically the shot shape that you would want but if I can't make that man though I basically have to throw in to make sure I don't give away all these discs that win pushed that disc while I was in the air that's a little scary it's 340 feet so it should be pretty simple into a headwind fairway driver territory we could definitely back it up a little bit but I want the opportunity for the birdie and we're throwing off a construction site so we don't have the best footing or run up at all so big ish headwind so I'm gonna put some hyzer on it and hopefully let it flip up and come back into the bucket foreign yep that's exactly what I wanted it to do go in the basket go in the basket a little short a solid solid shot if you're wanting to support a smaller company I would definitely pick up a strike like that's the disc that I might play around with in my Fairway slot because I really like the way that it flies and I'm personally trying to get a different company in every single slot in my bag and that might do it for me I am going to be reviewing the Athena the new first run Athena that just came out but let's hopefully get our second birdie here and ends on a pretty happy note 340 feet out first actual rip with a neutral Fairway driver taking us to 10 feet don't even need to look don't even need a look don't even need to look I need a look but that's incredible for what these discs are and so I love seeing smaller companies being able to come out with molds that can't 100 compete if you're looking for something in these categories this new premium Marvel I'm really stoked about if I was to need to throw a two-speed putter I have the inner core in my bag right now which I really like but this is more stable than that inner core and I really like the flight out of it so this might be making some rotations as I try to figure out what goes in my bag officially for the next tournaments or Seasons I'm happy with all three of these discs my least favorite out of them would be that base plastic Marvel just because it's another base plastic Putter and I already have my putting Putters all situated but this premium Marvel and this premium strike are both really really good discs and this one specifically I think you can carve up some Fairways with like I said go through that first link down in the description and pick some of these up if you'd like luckily we're two down so we don't need to give anything away in this video but if you want to see some more bag of the minutes check those out right up here and out of those I think you'll like this one the best subscribe to the video I appreciate you I love you thank you for your disc golf supply for sponsoring and sending out the discs see you guys in the next one
