THE MILE CHALLENGE But at 7,000 ft Elevation INTO a HEADWIND

welcome back to the dance of disco today we are in big sky montana which is 7 200 feet above sea level if you're new here my name is anthony i live and travel full-time in a van so there's a course here that we're going to play today that'll be in a separate video it's 21 holes and i have a really bad habit of not warming up before i shoot videos so today we're going to warm up by seeing how many throws it takes me to throw a mile the unfortunate part is i don't have a range finder yet but we're not going to throw what i have in my normal bag because i know those discs instead we're going to throw my box of extra discs and uh see how long it takes i'm gonna do a little warm up with the putter mid fairway driver and then we'll get through the distance drivers hopefully at that point we're through 5500 feet because since i'll be using udisk and not a rangefinder i don't want anyone to get mad that i didn't actually throw a mile so we're going to be throwing at least 5 500 feet for you guys and hopefully get warmed up in the process i'm really interested if i'm gonna like any of these discs i don't bag them for a reason but i do own them this is a little bit of a shorter field i can normally push something out to like 410 we do have a pretty stiff headwind going this way and then we'll have a tailwind coming back you know what we'll just throw them all into a headwind all gonna be backhand let me know if you want to see me do this with forehand or with my actual bag i'll throw one more putter throw a luna second warm-up oh that's way too nose-up it's still down their ways i don't really have a lot of mids that i don't bag one oh two shoot dx shark 150 grams going into the wind a rock x3 which is overstable so i really have to flex it that bill is stable all right four down there now we're gonna go the two fairways i'm gonna throw for now got a falchion i used to bag this for a while i hope it doesn't flip too much now that we're at such high elevation oh no black flex flight flex flash flex thrown into that hill is losing me a lot of distance and an escape that i've never thrown i got this in tournament winnings i'm interested to see how this escape flies i think it's going to be relatively overstable heck yeah that's a perfect shot i'm like throwing onto that hill which is going to lose me some distance but let's go take a look at those measurements i honestly feel like i'm throwing pretty far today this might just be a short field though not like the farthest that i've ever thrown but i haven't pulled out a distance driver yet and i'm guessing we push one of these close to 350 380 at least we'll see this hill might lose me a lot of distance oh yeah this is gonna be super short through it so nose up 255 so we're going to call it judge here honestly not great i mean this has been taking a long distance off 271 rock x3 wow so short 286 i might not have actually thrown those as far as i thought here's the dx shark called 323. i'm excited to get out these distance drivers see if i can actually push them pretty far into this headlight slightly uphill so falcion is 342 and lastly the escape we got here okay not terrible 367. all right let's get into some distance drivers i didn't give how many i thought it would take me but with holly's throws now i think we should be able to get there just with my distance drivers even though i do have a lot of really overstable stuff which should be a lot harder to throw far but we're at six throws i'm gonna guess not having headed it up yet it's gonna take me another ten so i think less than 16 throws i'll be able to get to 5500 so far through all those throws we have hundred and forty four feet we have thirty six fifty six to go do you even have ten this is super over stable defender gold line ballistic pro not super overstable and then two excaliburs which are beefy is everything trespass other trespass and two pharaohs can i get there in eight oh 4.57 i don't think i can get there in eight maybe nine we'll throw this valkyrie that i found in a river it's a nine speed but i'm gonna start with the overstable stuff and really just focus on ripping it out there so the two x gauss oh not great i need to turn it over more oh those things are so stable those are probably like 3 30. coming up to the excal here okay not the end of the world 342 excalibur over here saying 339 all right defender another really stable guy that's a better rip all right here's the defender what's the fender actually when it weighs it's 360. i'm gonna go ballista pro next i think we can finally push one close to 400 here flex out of it come on come on yes gosh that sucks that it's on a hill that's like 20 feet higher than we are right now all right found the ballista pro oh bad 358. i need to do this on flack ground we'll go with two pharaohs i'll try to focus on throwing it more to the left oh these are probably only going 350. this is not good first one here is 364. that's not bad need to throw the higher shoot shoot shoot oh here's the other pharaoh super short because it just burned into the ground oh that's bad 339 not good trespasses i don't even know if i'm gonna be able to find those this is turning so much oh no no my timing was so screwed that's gonna be like 280 feet all right this is really bad we're only at 241 feet oh i should probably get over the disc yeah 241. all right this really sucks because i started all the way down there and i'm up high and this disc only went 359 feet because it just went into the hillside instead of being able to flex out all right valkyrie this could be really bad so the big problem for me is i don't throw any flippy discs in my bag right now that's something i want to get better at but throwing these flippy deer discs which i have just in reserve into a headwind at a different elevation that i played at for a while it's a little bit difficult but i think that trespass that i burned into the ground i just did not i didn't throw most of these high enough i threw them mostly on decent like angles and good speeds but their height was so low that they didn't get the chance to flex out of their turns this valkyrie and it's saying that we are at pretty similar 344. i really want to see if i just did this with my graces how long it would take me because i'm only at 44.70 am i like missing this or something did i really throw nine discs and only get wow this is bad i guess i did put the challenge on hard mode but still i really hope i did my math wrong and i'm gonna fix it in the edit i'm gonna make sure to get there in three throws so i'm gonna choose the three discs that fly most similar to stuff that i have in my bag not quite the same my more stable trespass my ballista pro and this metal flake pharaoh should be able to put these out there and hopefully actually get a good throw with each of them because i don't think any of those throws were good which is unfortunate i think it's only like 340 350. yikes all right blisterpro that's probably about 40 feet further let's not put this one on the hill no anthony you stink dude that's so bad 342 feet that's not good okay still not a good shot but the best so far 376. just hard that this is also on a like look at this hill i threw flat and now i'm up another 15 feet from where i started okay so we need 312 feet where is this desk okay imagine these this actually flexing out and doing their full flights 344 55 32 but it took 18 shots to get there which is way too many let me know if you want to see me do this again either
