The BEST New Putter & Midrange Lineup On The Market?! // Lone Star Discs 9 Hole Challenge

welcome back to Bonanza disc golf earlier today I had the worst round that I've played in months now both that round and this round are a part of my Lone Star disc series because Lone Star was kind enough to not sponsor the video but send me out a bag full of all of their discs bag not included but I have one of all of their molds and a second Penny putter one is premium plastic one's putting plastic as well as a lightweight version of their Guadalupe and curl which are Fairway and distance drivers which are discs that we're probably not going to need today because today we're at a little pitch and Putt course close to Billings Montana in a place called Lockwood luckily the wind has died down from what it was when I was playing that other round because it was like 25 miles an hour consistently and I was shooting terribly but I was also not trusting my up shots and a part of this week is that the last day I'm gonna play a course here that's a par 56 just about 6 100 feet that I want to be able to shoot five or six below par with these new discs and one of the really important things being good up shots so let's get started on the whole one we're probably only gonna need to use our mids and Putters so here we are hold one 241 feet but let's try to go I'm not gonna say nine for nine especially because I'm just now throwing these discs let's try to get at least five down here and just start it out we'll go Penny putter basically push it straight with a little bit of finish oh that's way too far good tree kick at the end there okay I'll take it let's hope we can go Penny Penny birdie I'm really liking the way that this putter flies just the premium plastic feels good it feels similar to my sky God just not as overstable and it's a little bit shallower too on the whole routine off here going 187 feet right out to that basket in the middle of the field there I am going to make myself throw each of these discs at least one time this looks like it could be a good four hand hole or backhand honestly just pick whatever you want to do this is the disc I really want to get good with the armadillo so one speed it's one two zero one I don't throw any one speeds it's kind of weird it's not as overstable as the Berg though so just throw it right at it thank you yeah definitely not as overstable oh but that thing dies though that's good we're inside the circle I was worried I pushed it past it but that one speed was doing work I'm gonna make myself throw a different tee shot for every single hole a different disc because I have four throwing Putters and five mids but I'll be throwing a different disc on every single hole my feet are just full of those freaking foxtail things from earlier today let's go I really like putting with this putter honestly something about it feels really good in the hand well three we're heading 210 feet we got the light pole over here to the right of the basket so I think we're gonna throw a forehand and this is my favorite disc from earlier today the bull snake because it's three two zero four super over stable really good at fighting the wind oh shoot so one of the problems with earlier today was a bunch of plants wanted to hurt me so I have like a big cut right there and this is a pretty sharp rim and it literally sits right where that card is for the forehand oh push it through for the second that's so beefy go in oh that's a big roll and I'm I'm a big fan of it partially because the stamp and the name are sick I'm gonna step this one out real fast one two 26. I thought the headwind would lift it all right on four 144 feet all the way back there we got our basket these are all the discs we have left to choose from six discs five of them are mid-range so we're gonna have to throw these and then one of them is the jackrabbit three three zero three I'm Gonna Save the jackrabbit for later also before I finish this video I'm gonna make sure I get an ace but I think we're gonna go bb6 it was a lot straighter than I thought earlier today but earlier today didn't really teach me anything because everything was flying super stupid oh baby I'm really bad at throwing things softly that was slippier than I thought though I need to basically just take the round from earlier today out of my mind when I think about these discs because everything flies stupid in the wind I'm pretty sure my desk is somewhere way back here dude I have a gap though very slightly on to five right this will be interesting to shoot because we got the tpet for five and then all the way over here we got that basket for 548 feet I think I'm gonna take my Walker which is 5304 Justice like disc and that's gonna be the one here get it oh just short sorry I totally missed a shot oh we got another two here we are a whole six 180 something feet all the way down through those trees that we're gonna treat as a double Mando because that makes us more fun oh we're going my favorite Stamp Out of This collection the Texas Ranger this flipping off one really interesting thought that I have on disc golf is that it's just like so much more fun to play without the wind so interesting and quirky right gonna give it the honors on the seven I got three more holes to try to get my Ace until I have to just throw a bunch of shots we have 180 feet to the pin I only have three discs left though that I can choose from so we got to go either with the jackrabbit which I'm still gonna say because it's the only true Potter we have left the Harpoon which is kind of their Zone clone disc this is in their V2 plastic think like ESP mixed with jawbreaker if you know Discraft stuff or kind of like a little bit more rubbery like a retro if you're thinking about latitude and then we also have the midi I think we're gonna go Harpoon on a forehand here it's a little bit thin if you can notice how thin that is I do not have big hands I'm a small dude I'm like five six bump up disposure a little bit foreign keep going oh just short down six through seven I love these type of courses because they first build your confidence and second just to help you practice so much literally just getting offshot practice and making sure that I can put it in the basket from 200 feet this is sauce good practice this is where I'm so stoked that I kept that midi because right here we have 194 feet around the tree you could try to go under it if you're insane also six stamp let's get this Ace come on that could be it oh oh my gosh are you kidding me dude oh almost landed on top and then hits the cage oh my gosh Come on that was amazing dude I thought that was gonna be it stay in the freaking basket midi well I guess I threw it too high but what a freaking shot though are you kidding me ah foreign that could be it all right one last hole to try to get the Ace in this first nine holes and then I'm just gonna play two in a row I'm gonna try to get True Ace just play through the course as many times until I get an A so where the sun goes down or maybe 20 minutes before the sun goes down because we got to get to Walmart for sleeping welcome to family life here we are at hole nine I think it's the longest hole on the track 265 all the way down there right next to that tree and we saved the jackrabbit for last so Gotta Throw now this disc has a b and I really don't throw a beat of discs but we'll see how it goes oh it's way too much hyzer dang it let this gets through his numbers three three zero three I just need to release it flat just feels a little deep in my hands got little baby hands it's a problem if we couldn't get this Ace we at least gotta make this sick putt oh gross it's a bar onto the ace holes I feel much better about throwing these discs now I still want to get more practice with the armadillo so I might try to run some Aces with that one not only do I think that this is helpful if you want to see how these discs fly from Lone Star here but if you have a course like this near you go play it at least once a week you'll get so much better I guarantee you that you will save four to six Strokes off your game if you are below 900 rated and maybe even if you're above just practicing these shots and making them like nothing is so good so let's get on to these Aces and see how many holes it takes me to do it oh my gosh bye bye yes let's go finally got one holy cow the Walker around the tree this one was so close so many times and we did it I don't know how many times it took probably like 60 but we made it happen watch this
