welcome back to the dance disc golf if you couldn't tell in this video we're going to be doing a review of the black hole pro by mvp it's a travel basket that has a transit bag that goes with it which is perfect for me in the van because i really need some practice putting today i wanted to come outside to give you my unboxing and first impressions of the mvp black hole pro travel basket with the transit bag i am already relatively familiar with this basket as probably are a lot of you who play some tournaments because most of the times the temporary baskets at tournaments are this type of basket personally i picked this one up because the price is way cheaper than most other baskets or at least as competitive but i live in a van and i like to travel and play disc golf so to be able to practice putting as well as maybe even making some temporary courses i think that this will be really good it looks like it just comes in its travel case it has pretty convenient carrying handles built in right there let's open it up and see what's inside i do want to also see how long it takes to set up because that's obviously an important thing when you're getting a portable basket but opening it up it's obviously a pretty sturdy case right here and it comes in a few different pieces i'm just gonna take the whole thing out real fast probably the best way to do it this is honestly not a very big footprint when i bought it it said that it's supposedly going to take less than five minutes to set up i think it's probably pretty straightforward with how to do it you have the base here the basket itself the chains i'm guessing are inside of this other bag but we'll take that on a second is a little bit heavy i think around 50 pounds and they do have a light version but i wanted the pro version because i think that you needed to weigh it down less and it would be more like practicing on a normal basket it does come with these stakes in case you wanted to stick it into the ground somewhere and then the poles guessing the last piece is in here definitely the chain and we have the top with all the chains comes with instructions that tell you what everything is but it seems pretty intuitive it comes with all these threaded pieces that it looks like will fit inside one another let's go ahead and see how long it takes to actually set it up make some putts on it see how it feels to actually put and then tear it down put it back in the back just to get an idea of the time it would take you to use this i'm gonna start that one that hits about 10 seconds all right pretty sturdy okay honestly that's pretty sturdy feeling and i think that was a minute yeah that was only about a minute which is very fast it is a little heavy but nothing too cumbersome i did just go put it on a pretty unstable surface it's a bunch of gravel rocks so i want to see how it handles getting some pretty hard putts at it 15 and 25 feet and then we'll put it back and see how long that takes overall i'm very impressed with how this is holding up the one thing you might want especially if you have neighbors or you're in a van and want to practice anywhere is getting something to maybe insulate the center pole so it doesn't sound as loud but that's really the only complaint i've had so far the price is great on this and to get a travel bag which will fit anywhere and you can take anywhere very easily i'm really happy to have a practice basket at this price point and just for good measure all right so if you throw something as hard as you can at it from like a foot away maybe it'll move a little bit but pretty happy with how this is i do imagine that the setup process will be a little faster than the tear-down process so i'm gonna start my timer and let's see how long it takes to get it back in the bag ready to be taken to the next spot start the one thing i did notice which hasn't affected it is that screws are a little bit off center so i don't you might not be able to see it but where it screws in is not quite directly straight there's a little bit of a skew it didn't affect it at all but it might be a longevity issue i'm not sure that's it wow so you could put the poles up here but this thing is ready to go and it was less than two minutes so if that doesn't say anything i don't know well this is a very impressive product really happy to have it for my van and just to get all that putting practice that i really need i think we all need practice i think it's definitely the best practice basket on the market especially when you get it with this carrying case i mean it's heavy but maybe about 45 50 pounds not bad at all i'm definitely gonna get some more practice putts in but if you want to pick one of those up for yourselves follow the link in the description you can get it on amazon
