welcome back to the dance disc golf today we are back in snook's what is my hair well while i get that figured out let me introduce myself my name is anthony i started playing disc golf six months ago since i live in a van and really needed a hobby and i found myself getting pretty good pretty fast so i think i'm gonna try to go pro but on that journey i'm trying to take you guys with me to a thousand courses we were at this course before but i played terribly and i want my revenge so earlier in the day i did a little bit of work i have done some field work today which didn't feel very good and i did some practice putting which also didn't feel very good so hopefully today goes better than the last time i shot down one but i think this is a shreddable course so i'm gonna try to go for no bogies today as well as shooting down four or five or maybe even more walking up got some pretty nice views on either side it's just so cool to be out here in the west the first t-pad is actually a nice starting hole it's not too easy and it's not too hard hole one is 348 it says 350 on the sign right out to that basket we are going slightly downhill so you can get a mid there if you have about 310 320 feet of power it's just a little bit easier to get a fairway out there i do feel relatively warm so it's gonna do one off the t last time i played this hole i threw my star t-bird three and i'm actually going to throw that same shot again even though i way overthrew it last time i think i just put a little bit too much into it not accounting for the fact that it was going downhill no that's a little short i've noticed that my field work today as well as that throw that i've been throwing nose up i think it's because i'm not falling through my shots i'm leaning back as i finish them so i'm gonna really try to focus on following through as i finish around my center of axis instead of being leaned back a little bit i think i'll definitely get more distance and that's just i think the right way to throw this hope we have a good start and we can make a decent putt from it oh man i dropped it so much and i don't think i gave it enough juice honestly plenty of holes left to get four or five down hole two is kind of fun because it's a bomb it's 496 feet pretty much dead straight ahead so i'm just trying to launch out something that i can get to go as far as it possibly can because this is definitely out of my range for the birdie and last time that show because i took the bogey to help it stable out i might just throw try to throw a big anhyzer line with my grace man that is a big tailwind that stabled that thing right up where are we okay udisk says we're about 360 370. not bad there's a little drop off behind the pin but it's not crazy so the disc you see in my hand is a purple zone it's my most stable of the two zones that i have in my bag meaning that it wants to turn to the left much harder than the other one does the problem is with this tailwind and why i'll be changing my decision is that when there's a tailwind so when coming from behind you it wants to make your disc turn to the left even more so i choose the one that's going to turn to the left less so that it'll have the same action as my more overstable one would that's very long and very bad i'll have another long long putt gosh got a little headwind uphill and i have no footing so i have to straddle all right we got this easy putt stable oh there's a four because i can't throw an upshot apparently um plus one already so it's all about the comeback story you know as it stands i'm pretty much doing the exact same as i did last time and we're moving on to hole three which i was able to birdie it's only 218 feet to the pin you just got to go up and over this mound basically the basket is straight where that path is just about 100 feet past it so honestly it should be birdie every single time just don't do what i'm about to do i started running i think before that was out of my hand so i think i threw that terribly not as bad as i thought but we're right here the basket and we got a stepper for sure a stepper get down oh come on dead center just high that was a good step but dang it that's the three honestly that was simply rude by the basket but we're moving on to hole four which is downhill basically just take a forehand overstable putter maybe mid-range if you don't have that much forehand distance just something that you can put out to the left and have it hyzer back towards the basket going down the hill gonna go ahead take the purple zone make sure i throw it down the hill aim over those bushes so that hyzer's back let's hear some chains on this one to make up for the stupid spin out over there it's all right that's it that's not great i honestly don't think i'm giving this win enough credit i'm thinking for some reason that it's less powerful than it is okay we might not have it down here okay i feel a little bit of a headwind but luckily we've got it inside the circle putt banged it okay i was really worried that was gonna spit out too because that's about the same position i hit the last one last one just had a lot more force thanks for staying this time let's stay no more bogeys for the last 14 holes here we are coming up the hole five we got the t-pad the basket behind those trees back there i think it's the a position probably yeah it's probably 2 30. it's not 290 for sure very much a putter hole i've been really relying on my zones which i like the only problem with that is i just picked up this envy from a used section and if you look at the bottom of it it has much less potential to skip because it's more rounded than the sharp edge of the zone so i'm going to start trying to throw my envy on these shots just to the right of that tree there well it was definitely right of the tree but we got a putt probably around 30 feet just inside the circle drop it oh not that much though dang it the reason i said drop it is because i have a tailwind putt here and tailwind will drop your putts heads wind will lift them and so i wanted to drop it but not that much that one is playing tricks on me today that is i did not give it enough credit again i was aiming for the top chain instead of top of the basket easy three though easy three this is one of the hard ones where i don't know exactly what to throw i think last time i threw my zone at it and that was a bad decision we were going into a headwind so i think this is the time that i'll actually take out my thunderbird and just try to throw it along this gully with a little bit of hyzer because the head one should keep it flat and then it'll finish at the basket keep it keep it flat keep it flat okay that's not 324 this is where a rangefinder would be super helpful or even just having accurate udix measurements or just having better eyes to see what the distances would be because i did not throw my thunderbird hard at all maybe 50 or 60 and it's still like 40 or 50 past the pass kit nope that's a decent bid another three would you look at that on to seven yeah i think your disc is wrong in these distances it says 341 i don't think that's the case i'm pretty sure it's in the a position which is 291 so it's 300 feet i think i could definitely get a mid here but i wanted to play it a little bit safer especially with the tailwind which will stable out my disc and maybe drop it a little faster so i decided to throw my champion zebra 3 just a little bit softer than i normally would oh my gosh that wind is playing tricks but i think i think that's park parked we'll see we shall definitely see it's always hard when you feel like you give it just the right amount of power but you got a lot of wind and you saw the wind playing with that disc i still gave it pretty much the right amount of power and we're pretty parked should be a bag on birdie for sure nice i'll take that too i'll take that too all day every day let's go here we are going to hold number eight down one like a happy person and the basket is down underneath that curved tree you probably can't see it's very shaded right now maybe a big forehand around that way or a flex forehand first around this tree and then back to the basket my forehand i haven't been trusting a lot i definitely need a lot of work on it so i might practice that shot as a second so i think i'm going jump thunderbird throw it flat past that tree and have it hyzer and skip up to the basket get through get through get through oh way too close to that tree normally i don't show any practice throws that i might record but just watch this throw oh yeah skip i think it just skipped up to the pin are you kidding me so this is one of the super interesting thoughts that i had during field work today also my hair is a little bit crazy i know it's the best way to wear the gopro head strap and not get hairs in front of the camera but i was like man i can't throw this forehand very far because i was like maybe throwing like two 320 maybe 360 and my backhand wasn't going as far as it goes when i play i was like i think i need a target and so having an actual target i'm pretty sure i just threw that thing like 350 feet right up to the base of the basket whereas my thunderbird i mean i'll have maybe a jump putt but it's a very interesting realization so sorry i'll put you back on my oh wow that hit up here and it fought through all the way down there so that's really not that bad i wish i would have actually thrown it how i wanted to because that would be very close to the basket let's make a big putt and then go grab that ride and then we'll have two things to congratulate ourselves on get in get in get in get in oh dang it that's not wanting to stay for me today i think i'm like 60 feet but gosh dang it that was online all the way and look at where the rye freaking landed are you kidding me eat like easily 350 feet right to the pin perfect flex forehand line exactly what i wanted it to do i'm getting a lot of birdies on these second discs today i feel like anyone who's ever played disc golf can say that but let's head over to hole nine go ahead and snag the grace just straight ahead of us with a headwind so i think if i throw it flat it's gonna turn and come back oh yeah stable out of it okay that's pretty good if it skipped a bit that should be pretty decent oh i left it low are you kidding me why do i have to aim high okay just make it both times with the grace gross with the three so we're down one through the front nine and on to the back we got nine more chances to get three or four more birdies dang it here we are hole 10 basket is over that bunch of logs and we actually have a double mandate we have a manual left of this first tree and right of that later tree you need kind of a flexing shot which is going to be a lot more difficult with this headwind right now 300 feet and i genuinely don't know what to throw i threw in my truth and parked it last time but there was no wind so i kind of want to disc up i think i want to go with the firebird and just really let it be forced around this mando and come back hopefully just the right distance gonna take a decent amount of speed control to make that happen the wind did not turn it get around the mando all right i made the second mando but i don't have a look here we are do we have a oh we have a little gap drop drop drop drop oh no stop rolling oh nice hole 11. looks pretty straightforward in front of the tree i think we're going to the b position about 280 feet down there with the tailwind i'm thinking this is a truth all day long since we're slightly downhill now stable out of it oh why the counter skip that's a great shot boom hearted hit exactly the chain that i was aiming at i wish i better remembered how these holes played because here we are at hole 12. yeah it's got to be at least 400 feet this says 400 all right it says 411 on udisk i think it's probably just about right it might be a little bit closer than that so i think i just push it out flat just the right of the street should hyzer by itself because relatively stable disc plus with that helping tailwind hopefully put us under the basket no i threw my thunderbird at it last time and i was pretty much there i'm still gonna throw the grace that looks pretty decent oh wow a little long very long actually probably because i would have thrown a fairway if i didn't have other inputs that told me it was 400 feet okay once again i need you to watch the second row all right there's that thunderbird oh my gosh that's definitely the shot i really hope you guys could see that oh my gosh that was almost the ace i'm telling you it's just gonna be a matter of time since i film pretty much every time i go play eventually i'll get an ace hopefully it's on the first disc but that was crazy since this video was filmed about a month and a half ago and i have so many my backlog luckily past anthony can know that there is a video on the channel already that has an ace and maybe just maybe one that i have already filmed but not edited that also has another stay in yes yes yes oh i'm so glad i aimed at the chain it was just above the ridge i aimed at this chain and it kept it high but still in the basket let's freaking go that feels like a great too i love getting those headwind putts especially for like 30 feet heck yeah on the hole 13. this one says 344 we got the t-pad here and the basket is not 344. i remember him saying that this basket okay it's pretty short in between those trees there my last round here i threw a backhand which didn't turn out great it wasn't bad but this time i think i want to try to get around that far left tree with a forehand with my thunderbird oh yeah definitely help to stand it up get around that tree now sit the headwind did help a little bit okay not as far as i wanted actually but it's at another headwind putt from about 30 feet this time going uphill slightly so it'll be a little bit tougher to keep the nose down oh it did not keep it up at all easy trace hole 14 was one of the few on this course that i think you just actually had in the right position i think it's about 278 feet basically just dead ahead to the right of a tree we're going just to the right of that tree definitely just looks like a straight hyzer we do have a wind coming from right to left now i'm thinking this is probably a truth shot again let's go truthy boy the reason that i mentioned the wind coming from the right to the left is because when you expose your flight plate or the underside of the disc the wind really wants to take it so if you are going to be throwing a hyzer meaning a shot that goes from the right to the left showing the flight plate to the wind you want to make sure to put it out wider than you think you might need to i think i'm a venture to say that this is pretty good distance away crazy wind happening right now nice all right here we are hole 15. this one okay this one's not the super far one i think i'm going to throw a fair way i think we're gonna go t-bird three oh that is so turned over come back buddy please come back probably the right distance but i probably should have thrown my thunderbird all right here we are about 50 feet to the basket that one crushed me i should definitely throw something more stable but we'll go ahead and mark us let's give her a bid why not well i guess i know why not so i don't bogey but i'm feeling it a little bit let's freaking go yes my step buds have been feeling good today finally i'm going to drop yes there's a good two all right here we are hole 16. this one is about 350 down there there's water to the right not super close but not far we do have a headwind so to fight it i'm going to throw a ride i had the distance on this one last time just threw it a little bit to the left i'm gonna throw my pinky boy i don't know why this one tends to be for four hands this tends to be backhands literally no reason for it except for that's how it's been so 350 straight down there just over those bushes to the right hopefully crash back close to the basket it's pretty decent it's going to finish a little bit too left though oh that's a little long i think all right okay that's not bad actually basket just in front of the basket i think we're probably about 15 feet 20 feet there it is all right we got two of the birdies two more to go on the hole 17 which is back up this hill and across the way it's about 320 feet right down there we do have a headwind so this would normally probably be a keyboard three shot but i think it's gonna be thunderbird on some hyzer have it flip up because of the wind and finish at the basket so if you're wondering why a couple times today i've said this is normally this shot but today i'm going to throw this is because i'm throwing a disc that's slightly more stable into the headwind and slightly less stable into the tailwind normally a disc becomes more quote unquote stable when it wants to turn to the left either in the middle or at the end of its flight and a headwind tends to make it want to turn to the right whereas the tailwind tends to want to take it even more to the left so i'm trying to factor that in when choosing the right disc for the hole drop oh i thought i aimed low enough well i felt really weird coming on my hand take the three there and on the whole eight the last one of the day somehow threw it ob last time and took a four let's finish down seven this should easily be a birdiable hole so i think if i just actually make a good shot with my zone today it should be fine just leave it a little bit right hand some hyzer have it finished at the basket oh my gosh anthony don't don't don't don't don't don't right i think i'm safe and the right distance but i just grip locked the crap out of that disc come on dude oh it's in bounce let's go i'm not going to count this as barbed wire i'm just going to take one meter instead of two nice i'll tell you what this is a much better time than last time even though i still got that one bogey finishing seven down i think it's pretty respectable eight birdies but for my second time of the course i'm pretty stoked if you wanna see the last video that i did here check it out over here i'm about to film something crazy and stupid so subscribe for that video and i'll see you next time
