Date Published
Get ready for the ultimate celebration of disc golf as the world's top players descend upon Rock Hill, South Carolina from October 8-12, 2025. The 27th United States Disc Golf Championship (USDGC) and Championship Week Festival promises to be an unforgettable experience, blending world-class competition with a vibrant midway that showcases live music, art, food, and family activities.
The Winthrop Arena Course will once again play host to the event, which has become a staple of the disc golf calendar. For four days, fans will have the chance to witness some of the sport's most talented players in action, including 13 out of 14 prior champions who will be competing in this year's tournament.
Among the legends vying for top honors are Barry Schultz, Dave Feldberg, Nate Doss, Nikko Locastro, Will Schusterick, Steve Brinster, Jeremy Koling, and Nate Sexton. They'll face stiff competition from more recent champions James Conrad, Chris Dickerson, Paul McBeth, Kyle Klein, and reigning champion Gannon Buhr, who will be looking to make history as the first player to win back-to-back titles.
The USDGC also marks an important milestone for women's disc golf, with the 5th Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship (TPWDGC) taking center stage. This prestigious event aims to promote participation and viewership among female players while raising awareness about breast cancer during the designated month of October.
Missy Gannon, Catrina Allen, and Holyn Handley are just a few of the top FPO players who will be competing in this year's TPWDGC, alongside reigning world champion Ohn Scoggins. The event is more than just a championship – it's an opportunity for fans to come together with families and players to create an electric atmosphere that sets it apart from other sporting events.
As part of the Championship Week Festival, attendees can enjoy a range of activities and attractions throughout the day and into the evening. Highlights include:
* The Fresh & Now Concert Series, featuring national touring acts performing live each night at 6 p.m.
* Over 40 food trucks and vendors offering a diverse array of cuisine
