U.S. Masters Champions Return to Defend Titles in Quad Cities

The stage is set for an exciting showdown at the 2022 PDGA Tim Selinske U.S. Masters Disc Golf Championships, taking place in the Quad Cities, Iowa. Twelve players are back to defend their titles, while a strong field of former champions and newcomers has gathered to challenge them. The event honors the late Tim Selinske, a legendary figure in disc golf.

In the MP40 division, Brad Schick is looking to repeat his title win from last year, but he'll face stiff competition from 2022 PDGA Masters World Champion Joe Rovere and Patrick Brown, who has won numerous titles, including last year's MP50 championship. Christian Diertrich and Tyler Horne are among the highest-rated players in the field.

Meanwhile, Jen Allen is gearing up to defend her FP40 title, which she won for the first time at a PDGA Major last year in Missouri. She edged out Des Reading in a playoff, but this year Reading will be competing in the FP50 division alongside other top contenders, including Barrett White, who took down the USWDGC title earlier this year and is back to defend her FP50 title.

Newcomer Sarah Hokom has joined the mix in the FP40 field, while Ohn Scoggins is also returning after a strong finish at the 2022 PDGA Professional World Championships. The competition will be fierce as these top disc golfers face off for the coveted titles.

Defending champions include MP40's Brad Schick, FP40's Jen Allen, MP50's Patrick Brown (who has opted to compete in MP40 this year), FP50's Barrett White, and several others. Media coverage is expected to be extensive, with daily news, social media updates, photos, and video available on the PDGA YouTube channel beginning Thursday, September 29.

For fans looking for a glimpse into the action, feature cards have been released for Round 1 in both FP40 and MP40 divisions. The competition is sure to be intense as these top players battle it out for the title of U.S. Masters champion.
