The Easter Seals Disc Golf Classic is Right Around the Corner | Professional Disc Golf Association

This Saturday, March 22nd, marks an exciting day at the International Disc Golf Center (IDGC) with the hosting of their second PDGA-sanctioned event of the year: the 3rd annual Easter Seals Disc Golf Classic. The tournament offers a unique blend of friendly competition and philanthropy, as participants can register individually or form teams of four to compete against other divisions.
For singles players, the course of choice will be the Jim Warner Memorial Course, while team divisions will take on the more challenging "Steady" Ed Memorial Course. With two free meals provided by Johnson Motor Company - including lunch and dinner - attendees won't go hungry throughout the day. The food truck, serving up fresh Philly cheese steak sandwiches, fries, and desserts, is a welcome addition to the event.
But the Easter Seals Disc Golf Classic offers more than just a fun-filled day on the course. High-value prizes are up for grabs, including a free foursome round of golf at Savannah Lakes Village and Forest Hills, gift cards from Tako Sushi, disc golf bags from Innova Discs, and even a 3-night resort stay for two lucky winners.
Many teams participating in the tournament come from local corporations and businesses, which is why Jason Allind, IDGC Course and Pro Shop Manager, offers a free clinic to help new players get up to speed on the rules of disc golf. With a standard scramble format and tee times starting at 9:30am for singles and 11:30am for teams, there's something for everyone.
While all registered competitors will receive a player's pack containing a custom t-shirt, disc, mini disc, hat, and coozie, only singles players are eligible for the prizes and cash payouts. The winner in the professional division of the singles will take home $300 in cash, while 2nd place gets $150, and 3rd place receives $75.
The success of this event is made possible by the combined efforts of the IDGC staff and volunteers from Easter Seals of East Georgia, along with generous sponsors like Larry Miller Realty, E-Z-GO, MillerCoors, 7UP, Babbitt's Inc., Kendrick Paint & Body, and Johnson Motor Company of Georgia. A special thank you also goes out to Innova Discs and the Disc Golf Association for their support.
Registration is still open online or in person on the morning of the event. For more information and details about the tournament, visit the event's page on Disc Golf Scene. The Easter Seals Disc Golf Classic has grown into something truly special over the years, and this year promises not to disappoint!
