Thai Disc Golf Sensation View Georgiou Conquers Europe

Phattharachari Khamsriphon, known as View to the disc golf community, is a name that's been making headlines in recent months. This talented Thai woman has taken the sport by storm with her impressive skills and fearless attitude. Introduced to the game by her husband Nick Georgiou four years ago, View quickly fell in love with disc golf, bringing her natural athleticism and competitive spirit from her background in Muay Thai fighting.

As a professional Muay Thai fighter, View had already honed her physical abilities and mental toughness. She transitioned seamlessly into disc golf, showcasing an effortless technique that belies the incredible power she can generate. Her experience in Muay Thai has also taught her valuable lessons about aggression and control, which she's successfully applied to the disc golf course.

View's unique blend of Eastern style and determination is drawing attention from fans around the world. She's being hailed as a trailblazer for women's disc golf, particularly in Asia, where opportunities for female players are still limited. View herself acknowledges the significance of her presence on the international stage: "I'm proud to be representing Thailand and showing that Asian women can compete at the highest level."

After dominating local tournaments in Thailand, View set her sights on Europe, where she's now competing on a month-long tour. Her first stop was the Tyyni tournament in Finland, where she faced unfamiliar conditions and struggled with the cold weather. Despite finishing 15th, View remains undeterred, attributing her poor performance to the challenging environment.

View's husband Nick has been a constant source of support throughout her journey, providing valuable insights into disc golf strategy and helping her adapt to new equipment and conditions. He's also responsible for some creative problem-solving, such as shopping in children's clothing stores to find View garments that fit her petite frame.

With several upcoming events on the European Tour schedule, including the Wildcard Open, Hameenlinna Open, and European Open, View will have ample opportunities to refine her skills and build momentum. As she navigates this exciting new chapter in her disc golf career, one thing is clear: View Georgiou is a force to be reckoned with.
