MVP Disc Sports Launches Limited-Edition Collector's Edition for PDGA Milestone
Date Published
MVP Disc Sports has unveiled a stunning Collector's Edition custom-stamp for their Tesla distance driver in Neutron Plastic, marking a significant milestone for the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). With just over 200 new members needed to reach the incredible mark of 100,000 PDGA members, the competition is now on. MVP's commitment to supporting the PDGA's growth has never been stronger, and their latest initiative is a testament to this dedication.
The journey to 100,000 PDGA members has taken nearly 42 years, with the organization experiencing unprecedented growth in the last decade. To put it into perspective, at the end of 2005, there were just 28,465 members. Fast-forward to today, and the PDGA has seen an astonishing 71,535 new members join since then – that's an average of 6,654 per year.
MVP Disc Sports' Marketing Manager and Team MVP Manager, Steve Hollaway, is fully behind this initiative, stating: "At its core, MVP Disc Sports believes in the evolution and support of disc golf. The PDGA has been instrumental in bringing that all together, and we're proud to support their efforts with this collector's edition disc."
The custom-stamp on the Tesla driver represents the past, present, and future of the PDGA, symbolizing the growth and unity within the disc golf community. According to Hollaway: "Our disc golf community is strong and flourishing because of the roots cultivated by disc golfers who came before us. We're proud to be a part of this journey."
The 100k Collector's Edition discs are available in limited quantities at official MVP Disc Sports retailers, including the International Disc Golf Center pro shop. These exclusive discs are not included with new membership packages but can be purchased separately.
As the PDGA continues to grow, so does its partnership with MVP Disc Sports. The company has once again been chosen as the provider of the 2018 new member disc and mini, and an RFP for the 2019 new member discs will be released on PDGA.com in the summer of 2018.
Thank you to MVP Disc Sports for their continued support and dedication to the growth of disc golf. Their commitment to creating unique and exciting collector's edition stamps is a testament to their passion for the sport.
Note: The limited-edition Collector's Edition discs will be available while supplies last, so don't miss out on this opportunity to own a piece of disc golf history.
