Get ready to take your disc golf game to the next level! The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) has rolled out a groundbreaking feature that will revolutionize the way players and fans experience tournaments. Beginning this weekend, all A-Tier events will have access to real-time throw statistics on PDGA Live, providing unparalleled insights into performance metrics.

This cutting-edge technology was first introduced at Elite and Major events earlier this year and has proven to be a game-changer for competitors. With the Throw Stats functionality now available to A-Tier events as well, thousands of players can expect a more engaging and data-driven experience throughout the remainder of the 2024 season.

The benefits of real-time throw statistics are numerous. For players, this feature offers a unique opportunity to refine their strategies and improve their game by tracking key performance metrics such as putting distances, driving accuracy, and more. Tournament directors will also appreciate the enhanced visibility into player data, allowing them to make informed decisions about course management and competition format.

"We're thrilled to bring this technology to A-Tier events," said Andy Rothschild of the PDGA Event Support Team. "By expanding access to real-time throw tracking, we're taking a major step towards creating a more immersive and interactive experience for players, fans, and organizers alike."

While participating in Throw Stats is optional for players, it's encouraged to take advantage of this exciting feature. To enter throwing stats during the round, simply head to the PDGA Live app before submitting your scorecard. Stat correction is not currently available, so accuracy and completeness are crucial.

Tournament directors will have an "opt out" period if they choose not to offer Throw Stats at their events. For those interested in learning more about this feature or experiencing it firsthand, check out the resources provided on the PDGA website.

As part of its commitment to providing top-tier disc golf experiences for all members and participants, the PDGA is continually working to refine and improve its systems. With real-time throw statistics now live on PDGA Live, fans can expect an even more engaging experience at A-Tier events throughout the remainder of the 2024 season.
