Introducing the Inaugural PDGA Asia Tour Series
Date Published

The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) is proud to announce the inaugural PDGA Asia Tour Series, set to kick off in January 2026. This ambitious project aims to celebrate the growing popularity of disc golf in the Asian region, bringing together players from across the continent and around the world for a unique and unforgettable experience.
The tour will comprise seven B and C-Tier events, spread across five countries and regions over a 10-week period. The first stop will be the Asia Open in Chinese Taipei, followed by three events in Thailand: Siam Open in Bangkok, Samui Swine on Koh Samui Island, and Chiang Mai Open in the northern city of Chiang Mai. After a short break, the tour will continue to the Philippines, then to the southernmost Japanese Island of Okinawa, before culminating with the Tour Championship in Shanghai, China.
Each tournament will offer a range of divisions catering to all players, from professionals and amateurs to men, women, youth, veterans, and newer players. The competition will be divided into various age groups and skill levels, ensuring that every participant has a chance to shine. For example, each event will feature divisions such as MPO, FPO, MP40, FP40, and more.
Players can expect well-run events with local amenities and touches, significant tour sponsorship from the PDGA and its International Program, and post-production video coverage by Terry Miller. Event photography and blog stories will be provided by Kingsley Flett, while individual event poster images will be designed by Pete Anderson.
Registration is now open for some events, with others following soon. To check which events have completed sanctioning and opened registration, visit the PDGA's Asia Continental events search page. The tour is an initial and experimental undertaking that will be assessed on the basis of its overall effort and investment required, as well as regional collaboration and success achieved.
The PDGA invites all disc golf enthusiasts to join this exciting journey across Asia in 2026. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, there's something for everyone at the PDGA Asia Tour Series.
