The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) has announced that Innova Champion Discs will be the presenting sponsor for the 23rd installment of the Tim Selinske U.S. Masters Championships. This prestigious event, which focuses on masters-focused competition, is poised to bring together some of the country's top disc golfers.

Innova's involvement in this year's tournament marks a significant partnership between the company and the PDGA. Innova brings a wealth of experience and passion for the game, having been a driving force behind disc golf's growth over the years. This collaboration is set to elevate the event to new heights, promising an exciting experience for all participants.

The Eugene Cascades and Coast Sports Commission has also partnered with the PDGA to host this year's championship, which will take place in 2023. The partnership was met with enthusiasm from J.B. Carney of the commission, who expressed their excitement about welcoming top masters disc golfers to the event. "We are thrilled to partner with the PDGA and bring this major competition to our region," said Carney.

A Historic Legacy

The Tim Selinske U.S. Masters Championships have a rich history, dating back to 2000 when Innova's co-founder, Tim Selinske, first introduced the event as the U.S. Masters Championship. Under his guidance, the tournament flourished, and after his passing in 2009, it was renamed in his honor to recognize his significant contributions to disc golf.

Dave Dunipace, a close friend and fellow pioneer of SoCal disc golf, fondly remembers Selinske's impact on the sport. "Tim had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel good about themselves," said Dunipace. "He was a true leader in our community, and his passing left a void that can never be filled."
