The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) has unveiled its highly anticipated 2016 Majors and National Tour schedule, showcasing a thrilling lineup of events that will take disc golf enthusiasts to new heights. For the first time, two international events have been included on the prestigious schedule: The European Masters in Stockholm, Sweden, and the PDGA/WFDF Team Disc Golf World Championships in the Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada.
The 2016 National Tour Elite Series in the United States has secured seven return events, kicking off with the Memorial Championship in Arizona in March and culminating with the Brent Hambrick Memorial Open in August. Notably, three significant A-Tier events have also been added to the calendar for reference purposes.
In addition to these notable events, the PDGA is now accepting applications for A-Tier status from interested parties. To qualify, applicants must submit their requests using the online form by October 16th, but please note that approval is not guaranteed and subsequent sanctioning agreements will be required in November.
